Still one of the most horrifying things I've witnessed in my life. Just casually grabbing the table's bowl of queso, calmly pouring into a table's bowl of salsa, slowly and methodically like pouring c

Which ones?

We've got many choices in the S  E  C. All of 'em?

Well there is Vanderbilt. I am sure there are a few others who aren't yokels, it will just take a bit to figure out who.

I want us to win everything we play, having said that Aggie losing to Missouri in the title game would be fantastic....

Where the hell is Hoover?

Birmingham suburb. They play in the old minor league stadium.

Birmingham make Monroe, LA look like the place to be.

Absolute shit-hole.

I stayed in Birmingham three years ago on a road trip over to the east coast. It was quite nice. New, modern shops and restaurants downtown, nice enough hotels. And I’m not one to say nice things about Alabama.

SEC should rotate the tournament to minor league parks in its footprint, including Round Rock, Frisco, OKC, etc.

Just my opinion. Fuck Hoover

I’d settle for just Nashville.

Central.

A cool town.

Has a AAA stadium.

But that whistler can’t be allowed anywhere close.

I missed that part of town when I went through there back in the early 2000s.  I trust you and take it back on the Monroe, LA comparison.  I've seen that whole place and it deserves its place on the College Station Suckitude Scale.

Fuck you.  No I won't!😉

since we get the double bye and only have to win 3 to win it, I'm good with at least putting our best effort to win 2 to get to the final. need to stay sharp anyway. the final I don't want to burn pitching we will need for the regional.

I’ve spent a dozen nights over the years in Hoover, which is just South of Birmingham.  They have many hotels along the main road South of town, near the stadium.  There’s multiple restaurants and a mall across the interstate from all of those chain hotels.

Nice golf courses in the area too, if you have the time.  Part of the Robert Trent Jones Trail for a Southern golf experience.  I’m old but the RTJ Trail used to go from Louisiana to the panhandle of Florida.  I’ve played a 1/3 to 1/2 of them.

Hook’em!!!

We sure they got enough hotel rooms for this in bumfuck Alabama?

Or even, you know, big league parks?

There are precious few major league teams in that bumblefuck footprint of backwards sister fuckers we’ve signed up to play with, and none with turf I don’t think.
I can’t imagine the Astros, Rangers or Braves (that’s it in the footprint as I think Tampa is south of Gainesville) want to see eleventy thousand games played on their grass field over the span of a week.

Texas fans will love Hoover, there's even a ferris wheel for them to ride.

This is true. There are only so many hotel rooms in town. First 4 teams to lose get the next teams to check in.

We will have four days off before the Regional. And by Sunday our top guys will have already gone anyway.

Nah

There are more plentiful MiLB parks throughout the SEC footprint.

Hey I had just never heard of Hoover before and it was being presented as something famous I should know about. I guess Hoover is the traditional spot of the SEC tournament?

Hoover isn’t bad.  Kind of like Round Rock, PVille, and G Town to Austin.  Easy in and out in the B-Ham airport too, but it’s been at least four years for me.  When I “worked” the B-Ham area in my previous position, I’d stay in Hoover.  Just saying, from a dozen years of going to that area.

Do they have a Chili's AND an Outback Steakhouse?  Because that would be cool.

Not to be a smart ass, but yes is your answer.

if I was to go watch the the SEC BB tournament for its entirement, it wouldn’t be a struggle for places to go/eat.

After driving through B-Ham and spending the night there on our way to Gatlinburg, wife liked that NE area of Alabama enough that she said she could retire there.
