June 13Jun 13 BDC from the rough, grass so high you can't see his ankles or feet, swings so hard he gets off balance and about falls on his ass, knocks it 5ft from the hole. lol
June 13Jun 13 I could have sworn Rory and Bryson played for the Masters like 2 months ago. Edited June 13Jun 13 by ztejas

June 13Jun 13 There were two 69s in the field today, three 68s and two 67s and Burns shot a fucking 65. Everyone else was even or over par.
June 13Jun 13 Rory birdied the last. Made the cut. Insane to say....but he isn't out of this. Does anyone else have an insane urge to see the name "S.W. Kim" and say "SouthWest Kim"? Edited June 13Jun 13 by Pam Cummings

I'm rooting for him to blow up sometime this afternoon and miss the cut, however if he does manage to play the weekend, the I get 2 more days to see him struggle. I used to be a Phil phan, but that was years ago, today he is easy to hate....not quite as much a Fatrick but in the neighborhood, Was sitting on the cut line heading to the 17th hole, and just laid down a smooth double bogey. He's likely fucked.

Yep, if conditions are favorite in the morning, and any of the sunrise tee times can post a Sam Burns' round, there's a very good chance that the top of the field comes back to them in the afternoon.
June 14Jun 14 Yeah I have no idea what to expect. Burns is a good player but not sure I trust him with the lead over the weekend at the US Open. I still kinda like Spaun and there are certainly some bigger names lurking.

June 14Jun 14 Author I feel like I'm not really rooting for someone, as much as I'm watching and seeing who falls back down the leaderboard, those who have successfully so far today were so far back that they have to shoot under par tomorrow to get anywhere near the lead. Par could win this, it's like watching a slow car wreck
June 14Jun 14 Exactly how I explained it to my wife. Disaster porn. Also had to explain why the US Open isn't played on Pinehurst #2 every year. She's a tennis fan but is coming around.
June 14Jun 14 If there’s one thing I want to see during coverage of us open weekend play, it’s a player at the bottom of the leaderboard sifting through a hedge looking for his golf ball. More of that please.

I’d rather see that than some guy no one’s ever heard of tap in some meaningless, context free birdie on the back 9. Edited June 14Jun 14 by heso

June 14Jun 14 I agree with Ztejas. I've got a Puma like that with the contrasting red and I love it.The earth tones that Nike puts their guys in look like shit, imho. But Im also an old with silver hair so that look washes me out.

Nobody else following that group, he had lost TPC in a playoff a few weeks before, and didn't have fame factor.
June 14Jun 14 scheffler probably should be at +2, couldn't make anything. I think he has a shot if the lead ends up at -1
