September 28Sep 28 Author one of our guys just got hurled into the ground in the box, no call, no replay.
September 28Sep 28 Author this is what having a deep bench is all about. we unloaded every round, and it was just enough to get the win. LFG!!!
September 28Sep 28 Author jurrien timber might be the most slept on player in europe. just pencil in a 7.5 for him every match, and then go up from there depending on how well he does. just an absolute rock on the right hand side, he’s like the new age version of sagna, with an attacking game added on. what a player.
September 28Sep 28 C O Y G !!!!! Was positive we’d be down 8 points, instead 2. What a gutty performance
September 28Sep 28 NBC going on and on about Arsenal wing set piece FC….when Newcastles only goal came off, a set piece. Narrative overload.
September 28Sep 28 Also, just wait, the new talking point is gonna be Arsenal shouldn’t be celebrating this win.
September 28Sep 28 Outfuckingstanding. 38 minutes ago, Ted Lange said: Goddamn did Arsenal ever need a match like that Yep. This is the type of win Liverpool and City have made a living on the past few seasons. I'll happily take a 5 - 0 win all day every day, but it you want to win the EPL, you need that "we got this" swagger.
September 28Sep 28 Comment section is brief but to the point. Today was crucial, and somehow both games went our way. 1 hour ago, Ted Lange said: C O Y G !!!!! Was positive we’d be down 8 points, instead 2. What a gutty performance Edited September 28Sep 28 by Bullneck
September 28Sep 28 Fuck off, thugcastke. Fuck all the way off. Sick my dick, “Liverpool fan” ref. Choke on it. I am constantly surprised the level of horseshit they are allowed to get away with, straight-red offenses for other clubs that aren’t even fouls. This win, while Mi-inducing, was beyond sweet. Come on you Gunners!!!!

September 29Sep 29 I've softened on the non-call, mainly because Arsenal went on to win. One of my biggest complaints is (which can be seen from the myriad of different opinions on the call) this didn't meet the clear and obvious threshold. But, if the only reason Gillette called it a foul was because Pope didn't get a touch of the ball, well the replay shows Pope clearly got a touch of the ball... What's really annoying is that it stops play and then Newcastle gets the ball. If in his mind it simply came down to the touch, let them play. Look at what he took away. Also it is simply wild that Gillette has refereed 80% of Arsenal matches that he's elgible to ref.
September 29Sep 29 Author yeah i mean nobody on the pitch ever questioned if that was a penalty or not. pope didn’t even remotely argue. nobody did. ipso facto, there was no clear and obvious error from the official. add to that it took like 7 minutes for them to come up with a call, and there’s just no other way to slice it: by the book, they were wrong. the call never should have even been looked at, and once it was, it was so far from being a “clear and obvious” error that there’s no justification for overturning the call.

My issue is this: If the exact same sequence happens up the other end of the pitch, every movement, touch etc the exact same only Raya is the keeper and Woltemade the striker… is there any chance the VAR spends 5 mins talking the ref out of awarding a penalty? Does the Gillett then change his mind? We all know the answer. Of course not. Of. Course. Not. Sandcastle are not only given a pen, but Raya also gets shown a straight-red for DOSGO. All any of us want is consistency from the refs. I do think Gillett, after the Gyökeres - Pope incident, had a higher bar for any potential Sandcastle pens. Edited September 30Sep 30 by Dutch
October 1Oct 1 Author that’s good squad rotation. loomojg forward to some hungry players trying to stake their claim.
October 1Oct 1 Author you have got to finish that. hell he didn’t even head it, he missed it. god damn it martinelli. why are you only good off the bench?
October 4Oct 4 I see we're playing West Ham -- who have racked up a total of 4 points -- today. Sweatergawd, if I check my phone today and we're down 1-0 after fifteen minutes I'll be the guy screaming cuss words in line at Sherwin Williams. Edited October 4Oct 4 by Bullneck
