@Derka, Imma be real disappointed if you don’t call out, in the most profanity-laced Surly fashion possible, those of us who were Arteta-out after 0-0-3 -9 all those years ago.

Gents. We are really fucking good. Injuries can always screw things up….but this side is really fucking good

The bench tonight: Kepa, Benjamin White, Hincapié, Cap, Gabby Martinelli, Nørgaard, Mandueke, Ethan, Calafiori. All of those start for us five years ago. Heck, three years ago. And we still have Gyökeres, Gabby XL, Gabby Jesus, and Havartz soon to return from injury.

This club had come so far from the side Arteta inherited.

Honestly I’m surprised the xG is 2.81; better finishing we score 5.

This win, while partially exorcising Bayern demons past, also takes a lot of the heat off our remaining league phase matches. Given ourselves a great chance to finish top eight, and can rotate heavily ahead of the following weekends EPL matches.

Martinelli always scores these types of goals.

Seemingly good news. Arteta is going to have a selection headache once everyone returns. Which is a good thing to have.

i don’t normally care for the opinions of pundits, but i’ve always liked and respected tim sherwood, so i like hearing him say these things.

First time we haven’t had either Saliba or Gabi XL at the back since, what, 2021?

Massive test today. Three would be ecstatic, but I think I agree, @Ted Lange. Seven from these three matches would be damn good work.

WHY GOD WHY, MAKE IT STOP

Arsenal is finally getting their attacking players healthy and now the defense is picking up injuries.  No Saliba And Gabriel is a real kick to the junk.

#1083

The real kick is two guys who have never started together are the starting CB pairing away to Chelsea. While both are no doubt talented (Hincapie started for Leverkusen’s title winners), two new guys upsets defense’s the unspoken communication. Still…

Lets. Fucking. Go.

Ben Write is either deep in Arteta’s doghouse or still not 100% healthy to start, because this is the sort of match in which his experience would be needed.

this game is already officially under protest. horrific officiating. caicedo goong to kill someone’s before he gets so much as a foul call, forget a booking.

#1091

Running Bayern in between two derbies with the injuries we keep collecting all within a week's time is a pretty big gut check for this squad.

first time since last december than an official has handed out this many bookings this early in the match. and caicedo isn’t one of them. unreal.

even graeme lasaux says it’s a straight red. both robbies say it’s a straight red. var says it’s a yellow. fuck this.

ok we have a review. jesus. that took long enough.

Chelsea fan here, and that's as straight red as you'll ever see.  Caicedo's been in psycho mode all day and that's how it ended.
