May 24May 24 I'm sick of this shit they passed another rule in Spain that now I can't rent out my place while I'm not here until my entire neighborhood votes at least 60% in favor or allowing leases, even though I'm not here for several months in the middle of the biggest tourist season. For obvious reasons, I can't tell you exactly where, but let's just say it rhymes with Farbella, Schpain. Anybody planning a vacation to the "Cold Foast" over the summer? PM me for details. I might have a little spot for you that could be cheaper than all the other spots. It only sleeps 6, or 7 if you use a couch, it's really far from the beach, like 10 minutes. It has a shitty view (attached) only a 65" (sorry, 166 cm) TV with IPTV covering all US and Europe channels, and only one hot German neighbor (with a husband, no pics of either perverts) a crappy pool, pellet smoker, gas grill (rhymes with shit hoss) and only two brands of bourbon and Patron Añejo stocked (photo attached) so it's probably a shitty place to stay anyway but if anyone is willing to compromise to stay for time mid June to mid July or September, let me know. We might be able to come to a cheap compromise. This place is completely stopping a poor family from having a decent place to live so you will have to learn to live with that horror on your soul. May 24May 24 Post it on FB Marketplace or on a "Farbella Rentals By Owner" Group. We always look for rentals on FB when Airbnb is limited/banned. Most of the people we've rented from ask that you not tell the neighbors you are renting, but that you are "friends of the owners" Edited May 24May 24 by rage-a-holic

May 24May 24 How about Salencia in October or November. We'll be there looking for a place to rent when we move on January

May 25May 25 Airbnbs are killing housing markets in resort areas. Sorry, not sorry. Maybe sell it to someone who will live there full time?

May 25May 25 Author Its Not killing me because I only planned to rent it while we were transitioning here over the next 7 or 8 months. I'm sort of here establishing full residency and my wife will come in a "reunification visa" when she retires full time. Just pissed all the tourists are starting to cone in, I should be renting it for a mint to cover moving expenses but I can't because some people think this house is being taken away from more deserving people who could afford it.

Going back for a month in 2 weeks to work on the house back in Bama to get it on the market. 14 hours ago, Chewbacca said: Airbnbs are killing housing markets in resort areas. Sorry, not sorry. Oh and I just found out we are sort of neighbors of Julio Iglesias...lives just up the mountain in a meager 4 or 5 building many acres estate that security will not let me get to otherwise I'd take him some brisket and say hi. I've seen what short term rentals have done in the CO mountains. They completely fuck up the housing market.
May 25May 25 Beer, someone you don’t know on the internet wants you to sell your hard earned vacation house, so please do it.

It's not vacation, we're moving here. It doesn't make sense. Why would I, a six foot wookie, choose to live on Endor with a bunch of 2 foot Ewoks. If it doesn't make sense I must acquit.

It's hard enough to figure out if they're scammers but even after that there's no accountability for whatever claims are on the post.

It's hard enough to figure out if they're scammers but even after that there's no accountability for whatever claims are on the post. Every legit ad we've replied to on FB MP or from a group has asked us to video call or at least phone call to talk first, and we never send a deposit before we arrive. If they are demanding a deposit ASAP, we tell them we're happy to bring cash and meet them or a friend/neighbor at the house first. If they refuse, it's probably a scam and there are plenty of rentals out there. Non-business FB profiles don't have reviews, but we always check their profile and ignore anything that looks new or has zero info/friends. We've mostly used ads from local FB groups, they're a lot more reliable., and you can search all the group posts to see if they've listed before or if there are warnings/complaints about them. It's a lot more widespread in Mexico; they hate paying taxes or Airbnb fees and literally everyone uses FB.

It's kind of a long explanation but there are multiple IPTV programs out there. You get a device like a fire stick and they have directions on their websites on how to get a program called downloader which lets you get things that aren't in a traditional Play store and you download their app onto your fire stick. Then you have to find an IPTV provider. There are literally hundreds and there are literally hundreds of scams as well. PM me and I'll tell you a few that I've used before that seem to work. You pay them anywhere between $8 and $22 depending on the services, they provide and they'll send you two long numbers a login and a password. This will last for anywhere from one month to 3 months depending on how long you subscribed. Your service will now download its guide and you can start watching television channels from all over. I'm sure somebody else can explain this further. I haven't been at it for very long but it seems to serve my needs. The other thing that I did first was on my Amazon fire stick. I loaded a VPN then I would start the VPN and connect to Atlanta (I live in Birmingham so it's close) and most of my home television services worked just fine when I am in Spain .

I've done a bit of reading. I have a fire stick so I should be able to do a VPN and then just pay for whatever streaming service I want. I rarely watch regular TV stations so don't really care about channels. We really just want it for sports, movies or streamed series, and a few other things here and there. But if anyone else has other ideas I'm all ears.

The IPTV providers give you like 10000 channels, half are in Arabic and Armenian and Chinese....great if you speak that, but it will literally have all the local US affiliates too, then TV series on demand and movies on demand as well.
