This would be most welcomed.

Talks underway between Liverpool and Palace for Guehi. Deal could potentially be around £30 million to £35 million including add ons https://t.co/Czerp6TIkR

🚨🔴 BREAKING: Giovanni Leoni to Liverpool, here we go! Deal agreed with Parma for Italian 18yo centre back. No loan, never discussed… Leoni joins #LFC now as part of Arne Slot plans. Fee around €35m with sell-on clause. No convincing ever needed as Leoni wanted Liverpool.

Gorst reported it as an initial £26mn

Merry go round at CB. We made our final offer to Ibou, take it or get sold this summer. Guehi wants playing time and could possibly stay at Palace until next summer. I guess he is our Ibou replacement if Ibou doesn’t sign.

Supposedly Real Madrid have interest in Ibou. Unfortunate if he doesn't want to stay. Make up your mind quickly.

Ben Doak close to a £25mn move to Bournemouth.

Other fanbase’s when they see the prices Hughes and Edwards sell our backups for:

I don't see how you can get 25M for barely a backup and then ask only 55M for the captain of Palace. Just crazy how good of business Edwards does.

I am excited about today's first game of the season.  Last year was my first to ever follow a soccer team/league.  Had my wife pick a city she would like to visit in England (I narrowed down the options to 6 cities for her to choose from). She choose Liverpool, so that became my team.

I did not follow things quite as closely as I wanted to, mostly due to being busy at work, and I still have lots to learn about the game, the team, and the league.  So, I am going to work on that more this year.  I am closing my office at 1:00 today, then heading to my garage for beers and game watching.

Why not Everton?

During my narrow down phase, I took out Everton as an option, because my friend that follows/played soccer for 30+ years is an Everton fan.  I couldn't root for the same team as him.  It's more fun when we root for different teams, for shit talking reasons.  When I told him last year I was going to pick an EPL team and start following them, he told me to pick Everton.  That crossed them of the list immediately. Haha.  He gives me shit all the time for picking Liverpool.  Especially since they won the league the first year I started following them.

I have a couple of lads from Galway that are huge Everton fans. Watching matches with them every season as misery and pain overcomes them is funny for me to watch. They got me back this past season as a City fan, though.

We have completed the signing of defender Giovanni Leoni from Parma, subject to international clearance and a successful work permit application ✍️😄

Slot has to get a handle on this kind of stuff because this is a carbon copy of what Palace did. Konate was way too far forward.

Cheap giveaway by Szobo is definitely a carbon copy of the Palace game.

88 - With his first Premier League goal, Federico Chiesa scored Liverpool’s latest ever MD1 winning goal in the competition (87:46), while it was the latest by any side in their opening game of a season in the English top-flight since Diego Costa for Chelsea v West Ham in 2016-17 (88:43). Hot sports opinion: I don’t think we need Isak.

Give me Rodrygo, a CB, and a backup ST. Let Ekitike cook. Love that guys game. When he learns how to head the ball he’ll be unstoppable.

I won’t complain if we get Isak but Ekitkie needs minutes.

Just have to stand and salute the team for this one. This is a fleecing. Also includes a buyback option if his potential is achieved.

Ben Doak set to complete his move from Liverpool to Bournemouth today in a £25 million deal. Underwent medical yesterday. Doak cost #LFC just £600k from Celtic three years ago. https://t.co/p9RWESPf9f

Is the juice worth the squeeze?

Alexander Isak: “When promises are broken and trust is lost, the relationships can’t continue. That’s where things are for me right now - and why change is in the best interests of everyone, not just myself.”

He’s going to be announced for us the day after we play them

This reads like they couldn't find a replacement so he's not leaving. Regardless, let's kick their ass on Monday.

🚨⚪️⚫️ BREAKING: Newcastle statement in response to Alexander Isak.“We are disappointed to have been alerted to a social media post by Alexander Isak this evening. We are clear in response that Alex remains under contract and that no commitment has ever been made by a club…

Well shit.

This should be a lively atmosphere as we committed the worst crime imaginable, bidding a record amount for a player who wants to leave his club.
