Liverpool FC 2025-26: #20 in memory of #20 Diogo Jota

It's a mix of frustrating wastes of buildups and lazy mistakes that the other teams can capitalize on. Wirtz and Isak have to wonder what the hell exactly they signed up for.

Isak has been the worst player on our team this season. LFC have to be wondering what the hell they signed.

He gets no service to him. It's not his fault most buildups end with a shot over the goal, passed back, or easily knocked away because it's a badly placed bomb inside. What exactly is he supposed to make out there? I haven't seen much that he could convert into a goal. He might be the most ill fitting part we've had in a while but this offense does nothing for him.

That was an almost disaster without Chiesa.

This team is just such a brutal watch, which is as big an insult as anything else. They are so slow on the ball and we sleepwalk for most of these matches with no discernible patterns of play and certainly no energy. We picked up the urgency after Sunderland scored, but my god, why does it take going down 1-0 for us to get off our ass?

That was the first home draw since last season. So improvement? At least we didn't lose at home for once?

Yeah, the first 20 minutes of possession in the second half were slow motion triangle drills 45 yards away from goal before we switched it to the other side to do the same slow motion drill.

But this was a game we would lose 3-1 less than two weeks ago. Sunderland are not a bad team and very well drilled. So maybe clawing back the draw is a baby step in the right direction.

They're tied for 4th in lowest goals against. They're like Crystal Palace.

I need VvD to go back to making good decisions

If it goes through the left side, chances are it is easily getting knocked away or intercepted. Kerkez and Gakpo just do nothing with the ball.

There is just no way that FSG can watch this product week-to-week and believe Slot has any ability to get this team on the right track. We are absolutely deprived of any ideas. It is an absolutely horrible watch every single match. The fact that Cody Gakpo could commit genocide and still get a start over a cancer-curing Chiesa is evidence enough that he’s in over his head. This is Ten Hag-level incompetence.

Slot will acknowledge that Mo has lost a step and rightly sits him. Gakpo looks like shit all half and he’ll keep rolling it out. The window to turn this around is rapidly closing

Nice job, Konate. Let them right back in the game.

What does it take for Gomez to start at CB?

Wow. Complete collapse. Szobo passing to no one (this is happening like 15 times a game with our current team) and the ball is in the back of the net 10 seconds later.

Of course. The worst defense we've had in a decade

The worst coaching staff we’ve had in that time period. They’re clueless.

wonder if that through pass was on purpose

lmao he finally takes Gakpo off and Chiesa still can’t see the pitch

Of course. Why be able to defend a set piece?

That was always coming

Ali had multiple chances to grab the ball out of the area during those multiple long balls and corners. Our set play defending is fucking gross.

the bald cunt has been moaning about long balls, set pieces, and low blocks for 3 months and has found zero solutions. 3 goals to Nottingham. 3 goals to fucking Leeds. He has to go.

Selling Diaz and Quansah to replace them with Gakpo and Konate having to play 100% of the time seems like a fucking terrible job by Edwards and Hughes.
