May 28May 28 Pretty, pretty, pretty good for season for Arne and the boys. Now we enter summer number 2 with Edwards and co fully weaponized with the backing of FSG. Big Dick Hughes got VVD and Mo resigned, hopefully Ibou as well in the next couple weeks. Looks like we should have 2 almost certain and 1 strongly linked in the next 10 days (Frimpong, Wirtz, Kerkez) with more wheeling and dealing after that. Even more than winning the league with a month to go Slot put world football on notice by closing Wirtz on his vision ahead of Pep and Kompany/Bayern. We haven’t repeated as league champs in 40 years; This is the time to do it. And add the CL double this time around.
May 28May 28 With the moves FSG is making, can't believe I wrote that but here we are, it's highly possible to be in the running for lots of fun next season. We look to really be pilfering the Bundesliga. I guess they'd rather sell to us than Bayern for once. Seeing some buzz that we're looking at Hugo Ekitike from Frankfurt. Maybe John Henry really enjoyed his ride on top of the champions bus on Monday and wants another dip. Brentford want to purchase Kelleher as their new keeper. It's time. Edited May 28May 28 by mdmost
May 30May 30 Author RM paying €10m to release Trent a month early. We’re either some negotiating sons of bitches or Madrid went over the top on the tapping up and this is a peace offering to ever do transfer business with us again.
May 30May 30 The cohesion of the squad can only improve with these guys constantly playing together on the Dutch national team.
June 10Jun 10 The Wirtz signing seems like it's on rocky ground at the moment. Leverkusen wants $150M, Liverpool offered $134M. https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/6413081/2025/06/10/arsenal-transfer-latest-news-manchester-united-liverpool-chelsea-barcelona-real-madrid/ Quote Liverpool Has anything happened over the past week? Liverpool stepped up their pursuit of Florian Wirtz by submitting an improved offer of €134m to sign the attacker, but Bayer Leverkusen’s asking price is a reported €150m (£126.4m). Liverpool have no intention of bidding as high as that figure. Negotiations are ongoing. Wirtz played in the Nations League defeat to France on Sunday. Liverpool hoped a €118.7m upfront fee with a further €15.4m in add-ons would be enough to get their man, but they are still trying to find a breakthrough.
June 10Jun 10 It's all gamesmanship right now. Bayer knows he wants Liverpool. They don't want him to go to Bayern. They also know Liverpool don't want to go to 150. I'd imagine we're looking at player swaps and how to structure the deal. If we can get the Saudis to buy Nunez, that would help the situation.
June 11Jun 11 Author What a day. Wirtz is the bridge from Salah to the next decade of LFC. Mo and Flo gonna cook the next 2-3 years.
June 12Jun 12 Fabrizio Romano is saying Nunez is heading out either to the Saudis or Napoli. Edited June 12Jun 12 by mdmost
June 13Jun 13 https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/6410031/2025/06/13/liverpool-transfer-wirtz-transfer-latest/ Liverpool have agreed a fee of €136.3million (£116m) to sign Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen. The fee is comprised of a €117.5m (£100m) upfront fee with a further €18.8m (£16m) in add-ons, with Wirtz expected to sign a five-year deal at Anfield. It represents a club record fee for Liverpool and a potential British record transfer, should the add-ons be activated.
June 13Jun 13 Author The Poet, Florian Wirtz Nice read on Florian’s attributes and how me might use him in conjunction with the rest of the roster next season. Exciting times!
June 14Jun 14 This came out of left field. Atletico Madrid may have interest in signing Andy. https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/6425761/2025/06/14/andy-robertson-atletico-madrid-interest/
June 20Jun 20 It is done. Feels like we're building an army. Leverkusen wanted 150M, we gave them 116M. Edited June 20Jun 20 by mdmost

June 22Jun 22 Quansah is off to Bayer for 30M + 5M in add-ons. We also have a buy back clause. That's some masterful selling. Supposedly we're trying to buy Marc Guehi from Palace for the same amount. Edited June 22Jun 22 by mdmost
June 23Jun 23 Kerkez arrives in Liverpool today for his medical. Deal should be signed and announced tomorrow.

With the aerial dominance we’ve had during the Klopp years it’s been nice always having two big dudes at CB. I worry about him only being 6’. No idea what the stats show though.
June 26Jun 26 Author Bring on Guehi, a developmental RW/, and a striker that fits what Slot wants. Then have fun selling the guys that won’t play for top dollar. Can’t wait for August 15th. Kerkez is going to boss the left side.

Likely weaker in the air than Konaté, but 100% worth the price tag and would provide insulation for us if Konaté doesn’t plan to sign an extension. Also gives us a super intriguing opportunity to run 3 at the back in certain instances with Frimpong and/or Kerkez pushed higher up!
July 1Jul 1 I like Harvey but he's not pushing to start. Sell him and let him be featured. Edited July 1Jul 1 by mdmost

July 1Jul 1 It's pretty wild how much the squad is being remade coming off an improbable championship. The Red Sox loss is our gain it seems.
July 1Jul 1 Author Not many abroad teams can afford £50m. Harvey’s in a tough spot because he could be the best player on mid level PL team or a CL European team but he doesn’t want to play mid table and the continental clubs can’t afford him or the best of the best with deeper pockets recognize the same limitations we do.
July 2Jul 2 The gamesmanship begins. Saw that we may have Nunez overvalued so Napoli wants to pay way less than we're asking. Now this:
