Underdog is right. I went back to 2016 and Kentucky never played a home game in the month of October during the day except against Vandy in 2016 where it was a 4pm game. All of the rest were 6pm or 7pm games.

You want me to cite a source from 1988 when they moved to Phoenix? My mind from watching Ed Meese and Charlie Steiner on ESPN.

This would be nigh impossible given that Ed Meese was Reagan's Attorney General.

Nov 1- Vandy, 11am ABC or ESPN was just announced. Kentucky is listed as Night. All the other TBD games are flex times.

Additional kickoff time, TV window assignments announced for Football

The game time against Vanderbilt has been announced, while television window assignments have been revealed versus Florida, Kentucky, Mississippi State, Georgia and Arkansas.

AUSTIN, Texas – An additional kickoff time and television window assignments for five other games of Texas Football's 2025 schedule were announced by ESPN and the Southeastern Conference (SEC) Wednesday afternoon.

Texas' home game against Vanderbilt (presented by H-E-B) will kick off at 11 a.m. CT on Saturday, Nov. 1, at DKR-Texas Memorial Stadium and will broadcast on either ABC or ESPN. The TV window assignments were also revealed for games versus Florida (Oct. 4), Kentucky (Oct. 18), Mississippi State (Oct. 25), Georgia (Nov. 15) and Arkansas (Nov. 22). TV network designations will be announced at a later date for those games.

All SEC-controlled games starting with Week 4 (Sept. 20) have set television windows, with select games tagged as Flex games between the Afternoon and Night windows. Designating windows for all games after Week 3 prior to the start of the season is a benefit of the rights agreement between the Southeastern Conference and ESPN which kicked off last fall.

The windows for Weeks 4-14 are defined as: Early (11 a.m. to 12 p.m. CT start); Afternoon (2:30 to 3:30 p.m. CT start); Night (5 to 7 p.m. CT start); and Flex (Games flexed between the Afternoon and Night windows). For all listed windows, the exact start time within them will be confirmed no later than six days prior to the game unless otherwise noted.

Texas' Week 6 SEC opener at Florida on Saturday, Oct. 4, is slated for a Flex start time (2:30-3:30 p.m. or 5-7 p.m. CT) at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium in Gainesville.

During Week 8, the Horns will travel to Lexington, Ky., to take on the Kentucky Wildcats on Saturday, Oct. 18, with a Night start time (5-7 p.m. CT) at Kroger Field.

Texas continues its road swing on Week 9 with a trip to Starkville, Miss., to face Mississippi State on Saturday, Oct. 25, with a Flex start time (2:30-3:30 p.m. or 5-7 p.m. CT) at Davis Wade Stadium.

Coming off a bye week, Texas wraps up its SEC road schedule during Week 12 as the Longhorns travel to Athens, Ga., for a clash verus Georgia on Saturday, Nov. 15, with a Flex kickoff time (2:30-3:30 p.m. or 5-7 p.m. CT) at Sanford Stadium.

In Week 13, the Longhorns host longtime Southwest Conference foe, the Arkansas Razorbacks (presented by American Airlines), on Saturday, Nov. 22, with a Flex start time (2:30-3:30 p.m. or 5-7 p.m. CT) from DKR-Texas Memorial Stadium.

So Flex means NOT at 11 so that’s good.

Yeah, flex is the afternoon to night window when they have the bulk of the TV times.

They need to stop bullshitting and stop dancing around the guaranteed night time game slot vs Georgia (game day 100% in Athens) top 5 matchup

What difference does it make in mid-June?

230 kick for RRS might just be enough to be a no from me dog after last yr. I enjoy the ‘roughing it’ that the RRS scene usually is, but last yr was a massive disaster waiting to happen.

What is the new strategy for arrival time now at State Fair? I have been in the "after 8 your are late" camp for years and had no issue with such. What is the new arrival now for 2:30? I skipped last year and let the parents go so I did not take any mental notes on the 2:30.

This will be my 41st straight OU Game, and never (including the ones that were 2:30 kickoffs) did I ever once think “Well shit, I got here too early…”

We got there around 8 last year. Paced ourselves a little more with the booze and got inside the stadium early.

Same and it was pretty dead in the morning.  Didn't feel super crowded until after 10AM.  Got into the stadium really early but hung out under the stands due to the heat.  Wife has instructed me to get shade seats this year...Hmmm we shall see

Hate 11am home games. But glad Kentucky is at night. Daughter (no pics - UK grad but UT fan) is a bloodstock agent (look it up!). She'll be working the Keeneland horse auction that day. She could only go if it's a night game.

Traveling peeps to TX/OU that plan on taking the train...

Do NOT travel through downtown.  Park in one of the stations south of the fair.  My son and I walked right on the mostly empty train, got to our car, then drove to Rowlett within an hour of leaving the fair.  Walked by hordes of folks trying to get on the northbound trains.

Goddammit, keep that info to yourself!

Same. We almost missed kickoff in 2023 after starting our walk to the stadium over an hour before kickoff. Last year we entered the gates around 1:00 with no problem.

Where did you start walking from? Downtown?

For the 11 kick in 2023, it could take 30-45 minutes just to get in once you were in line.

Have you been to that game recently? It can take forever to enter the stadium.

I went last year.

Really having to earn those two rivalry games at the end. Ouch.

11:00am start - painful sunburn

3:15pm start - heat stroke

I will look forward to playing the under/over with my fellow ticket holders on the number of EMT incidents in my section.
