I'm not sure a rebuild will move the needle enough to warrant the expense. D1 baseball revenue i've been to lsu and ole miss. nice stadiums, great time. i know marucci dumped a ton into lsu facilities / marucci center. i like the rice stadium. maybe they can get back to winning u of h is meh, nothing special

Their lineup had 7 sophomores and a ton of young pitchers, for a team that made it to Omaha. Texas will be in the top 5, along with probably LSU, Tennessee, UCLA. Vitello bolting makes me enchubbed and seeing their team going from their chests puffed out to them looking like they just had CPR done wrong, makes me, well, elated. Vitello just said peace out, bitches!

October 25Oct 25 They haven’t maintained Reckling like they should. My son went to baseball camp there 2-3 years in a row about 3 years ago. Simple shit like getting things pressure washed, painted, cleaned, etc. were obvious. Everything just seemed not well kept. It is a cool park but needed some TLC. This was a few years ago so maybe things have changed. Hard to screw up a baseball stadium with downtown skyline in center field. Edited October 25Oct 25 by Beer Drinker

October 25Oct 25 I don’t know if this is a joke or not but I hope he does. It really is a cool park. A good friend of mine played for them back in their good years when they made trips to CWS. My only trip to Rosenblatt was to watch them play around 2000-ish.
October 29Oct 29 RIP, Scott ! Never be forgotten. You may have heard Josh Elander was selected as head coach at Tennessee. From Round Rock, played for Schloss at TCU and where he began his coaching career. He was the Recruiting Coordinator so likely will not lose many recruits or portal transfers. I time stamped vid where he mentions Schloss and other coaches we know. Sharp guy, hope he does well except vs Texas. Edited October 29Oct 29 by torre

November 5Nov 5 I know this is primarily a football podcast, but they interview Schloss starting at the 45 minute mark. The biggest thing I got from that interview is that coach thinks that Rodriguez is becoming a good defensive shortstop. If he could be that kind of defensive player and his hitting returns to form and he can stay healthy, this would be a very positive development for the team this coming season.

What is Volantis's role gonna look like in 2026? Are we looking at using him as a starter, Friday night or saturday starter maybe? Would be interesting to see how Wiener and Schloss use him next season especially after he was so dominant in that closing role

November 14Nov 14 #3 class. (LSU, Vanderbilt) Excerpts: Quote On Wednesday, Texas announced that its Class of 2026 would include 20 signees. During head coach Jim Schlossnagle's second signing day at the school, UT signed five infielders, five left-handed pitchers, five right-handed pitchers, one outfielder, two catchers and two two-way players. According to Perfect Game, Texas has signed the No. 3 class in college baseball. Just LSU and Vanderbilt had a better-ranked haul. D1Baseball ranked 10 of UT's signees among their top-150 recruits. Emerson (No. 4), Peterson (No. 10), Rangel (No. 39), Webb (No. 45), Harris (No. 56), Autrey (No. 57), Krenek (No. 83), Bumila (No. 85), Durham (No. 101) and Beaird (No. 121) all made the cut, which means that Texas will likely need to wait out the 2026 MLB Draft to see how many of these prospects make it to campus.
