I haven't seen a copy of Texas Football for sale anywhere. I guess they want everybody to order it. Haven't seen a release date, but it's late for football pubs.

It's not out yet.  I'm a subscriber and we get ours early.  Still not here.

I think a limited release at 7 on 7 events is all that has happened so far.

Dave Campbell has gotten a long ride based on having really good writers in the ‘60s and ‘70s

Dave Campbell's is a great resource for High school info.

That may or may not appeal to you.

All the magazines have de-emphasized the photography over the decades as well. DCTF in the 70s was crammed with action photos, both in review and preview. Now they are pretty scant. And that's a bit weird considering how much cheaper the football photos are nowdays, with everybody and his brother being a sports photographer. I guess it takes up too much ad space. But it diminishes the enjoyment of the magazines a lot for me.

I will be stopping at B&N in a few days to look for Dave Campbell's.

My father got his in the mail today.  I paid for his subscription, and he got his first.  Lame.

I used to sell services to small town banks all over Texas. Mandatory reading before every sales call to a bank president.

The ability to drop a few names and stats on the local boys went a long long way to my retiring in my mid 50’s. Worth its weight in gold. Hook ‘em.

No room in the delivery trucks due to being all full of lip fillers, Botox and silicone?

That was a 'no' two days ago.

I was checking out some rosters for the upcoming season and I came across Arizona State's two-deep on OurLads. If you needed any further proof of what college football's become, after NIL and the Transfer Portal have taken hold, look at A-State's projected starting 22. Nineteen of the 22 are transfers, NINETEEN.

Which is another reason why the idea that post season play with a multi-team playoff system is flawed when you are using rankings and unbalanced conference schedules.

How in the world do you accurately rank that team going into a season and those early season rankings can dramatically impact the end of year rankings.

To be fair, they're old transfers.  Most of them were brought in a while ago.  Sun Devils have the most returning starters from a team in the P4.  The transfers are because of the mass exodus during all the NCAA bullshit-  Keep in mind, ASU prior to all their problems had Jayden Daniels, Omar Norman-Lott, Ricky Pearsall, Johnny Wilson Jr., Elijhah Badger, Jermayne Lole et al all supposed to come back.  Then disaster and roster depletion.  So they brought in new dudes, and new dudes were good enough to win the Big 12.  And now those new dudes are the highest returning starter count in the country.

ASU returns 17 starters.  And like 17 backups.  It's a LOADED team by any stretch of the word besides recruit ranking.
