"stay in the fight." I love that turn of phrase considering the folks in question, whether running drugs or not, were literally unaware of incoming ordinance, or that they were in any kind of fight. At all.

Yeah, but...it sounds super cool and bad ass to say, so...

You guys and your war crimes and other trivial matters.  Let's cut to the chase here:

Jesse Waters is a human golden retriever who has just ripped up the couch, knocked over the bookshelf, tore up all the toilet paper, and is sitting at the door to the house with a happy dumb look on his face blaming the cat for the whole mess

Big dumb earnest lying golden retriever face

Yeah except I'd still love the golden retriever.  I hate Jesse Waters.

Yeah, I don't really like goldens getting dragged into this mess. 😡

Nope, Mikey is running for Governor of Minnesota.

Dubious. I've never seen that crackhead look rested.

Fuck the “new media” at the Pentagon is insanely good. You won’t find this type of reporting from the LAMEstream media.

And I’m sure the reporter subsequently called him out on that bullshit, right?

My god the comments

I would like to think it was people in India and Africa, but MAGA is getting hard over killing people in boats from a nation we aren't at war with.

Well, if this guy's satisfied, then so am I.

Finally, some accountability in Washington!

Trump knows his audience.

If it's replies on Twitter you're reading, very good chance they are from people in India and Africa.

Imagine if you're on the open waters and your boat suddenly explodes and you find yourself flung a dozen feet away from an upside down boat. Do you decide to swim the miles back to shore which is out of sight, or do you immediately grab onto any large floating object like an upside down boat? You would be the most dedicated drug runner in the world if your immediate thought is to flip the boat and continue on your mission. And FYI, it's impossible for someone to flip a boat of that size.

I was reading about the latest boat strike and I had a little thought that maybe you guys can help answer.

Since we have secured the border, why do we care if drug boats are cruising around the oceans?  Why spend millions of dollars worth of ordnance on something that poses no threat, since it can’t enter the country?

They'd most likely succumb to hyperthermia well before making it anywhere close to shore.

Phil Klay with a really good piece on this in the NY Times, I'll gift it because the whole things is worth reading and some good St. Augustine quotes for@Kyrie Eleison, @Brisketexan, and @Ghost of LL that used to contribute to the old Hornfans philosophy thread.

What Trump Is Really Doing With His Boat Strikes

Choice quote:

Quote

But barbaric behavior tarnishes all who wear, or once wore, the uniform, and lust for cruelty turns a noble vocation into mere thuggery. “The real evils in war,” Augustine said, “are love of violence, revengeful cruelty, fierce and implacable enmity, wild resistance, and the lust of power.”

I mean, that's literally our national motto under this regime, so....yeah.

Fun fact.  These aren't war crimes.  Because we're not at war.

justsecurity.com has a bunch of good shit on this.  Joe Bob says twist and shout check it out.  Zero breasts, no aardvarkings.

Pretty sure Trump, Hegseth and the Admiral have all called them enemy combatants should it ever go to court. :D

US Naval Institute Press, a formerly credible organization.

Authored by, you guessed it (no not Frank Stallone), a USAF LTC.

So if the president does it then it's not illegal, and also the president can't commit a crime thanks to the Supreme Court. So if Trump bombed Gavin Newsom's house, then no crime was committed. Cool.

I will say that the article is not that far out there.

It does accept that the designation of narco-terrorists is on the same level as ISIS, Taliban, etc., which is not really true.

if Hegseth says that Newsom had drugs that were going to kill 25k Americans, then yes we could bomb his house.
