What's your problem with the message? Nobody gives a shit how much you want to fuck and suck capitalists. Here's their message from their own website: Quote The Party for Socialism and Liberation believes that the only solution to the deepening crisis of capitalism is the socialist transformation of society. Driven by an insatiable appetite for ever greater profits regardless of social cost, capitalism is on a collision course with the people of the world and the planet itself. Imperialist war; deepening unemployment and poverty; deteriorating health care, housing and education; racism; discrimination and violence based on gender and sexual orientation; environmental destruction—all are inevitable products of the capitalist system itself. For the great majority of people in the world, including tens of millions of workers in the United States, conditions of life and work are worsening. There is no prospect that this situation can or will be turned around under the existing system. The idea that the capitalists’ grip on society and their increasingly repressive state can be abolished through any means other than a revolutionary overturn is an illusion. Equally unrealistic are reformist hopes for a “kinder, gentler” capitalism, or solutions based on economic decentralization or small group autonomy. Meeting the needs of the more than 6.5 billion people who inhabit the planet today is impossible without large-scale agriculture and industry and economic planning. The fundamental problems confronting humanity today flow from the reality that most of the world’s productive wealth—the product of socialized labor and nature—is privately owned and controlled by a tiny minority. This minority decides what will be produced and what will not. Its decisions are based on making profits rather than meeting human needs. There are really only two choices for humanity today—an increasingly destructive capitalism, or socialism. Oh noooooooo, how fucking scary!!! I'm PISSING MY PANTS!!! Photos like these: [photos removed for ease of reading] You should probably look up the definition of cherry picking. That's exactly what this is. You found some signs of this organization participating in protests and jumped to the wild conclusion that "the protests in all these cities are organized by the Party for Socialism and Liberation whose goal is to completely topple capitalism". The protests aren't organized by that organization. The organization may take part in some of the protests (along with many other organizations and individuals) and it may also organize some of its own protests. Assigning all the protests and protesters to this one organization is a blatant fabrication and ignores the diverse people and groups that oppose the military occupation of the country (read: actual patriots).
June 11Jun 11 2 minutes ago, Dahobbs said: the diverse people and groups that oppose the military occupation of the country (read: actual patriots). This this this. There are people out there who love liberty, freedom, and the ideals of this country, and oppose those who would turn it into the very kind of apparatus that we have opposed since 1776. Those people will be the ones marching on Saturday. Those are actual patriots, NOT the people who wear combat/red white and blue patriot costumes and wave the flag of a republic they don't even believe in.

June 11Jun 11 Popular Post I'm just braindumping here but... Optics this, optics that. It doesn't fucking matter. Throughout history, optics have never mattered. Power doesn't concede without a response. The very existence of these protests, this mass civil unrest, is an indication that no adequate democratic pressure valve exists in America. This is all the people have, because this is all that power has allowed them to have. I don't give a shit about property damage, capital doesn't supersede human life. If you're concerned about the optics of the protestors, and not about the jackbooted stormtroopers shooting less lethal ammo and tear gas at them, then your brain is fucking tapioca and you should shut the fuck up. I don't know how to put it in a nicer way. e: And make no mistake about it, it will get worse. Juneteenth in 2025 may go down as a truly infamous day in history if things go sideways. Pay attention. The funny thing is the outright honesty of that blank filing for their table of authorities that they're citing to build their opinion. Trump is hoping to have it both ways and get the good parts from the Posse Comitatus Act and from theoretically invoking the Insurrection Act, while ignoring all the safeguards attached to those laws. But hey, if the courts rule against him we just have to hope the Executive Branch faithfully executes the law as interpreted by the courts. Gee, who leads the Executive Branch again?

To state a valid claim, the claimant must demonstrate that: he or she was injured, or his or her property was damaged by a federal government employee; the employee was acting within the scope of his or her official duties; the employee was acting negligently or wrongfully; and the negligent or wrongful act proximately caused the injury or damage of which he or she complains. Spoiler: they do not. We are the Democratic People's Republic of Laws for Thee not for Me. Yup. There was a story on the TV news up here in Dallas about a private citizen whose handymen was wanted by the police for some reason. He holed up in her house and there was a police standoff. The standoff ended with the cops taking him alive but causing $60K in property damage to the woman’s home (fence, windows, etc). It took her years to get the damage paid by police. That’s when things were somewhat sane. We’re getting close to THE PURGE being a reality in this grand old US-of-A.

Which is infuriating and demoralizing to someone who has spent his entire adult life living and working within a system that - while flawed, sometimes deeply - more or less functioned.
