first of all, I don’t think you can make a rooster take a dive.

second of all, jerry seinfeld—big or little—doesn’t go down for anyone, anywhere, at any time!

The children seem to like the clown...

Little Jerry ran from here to Newman's in under 30 seconds!

Is that good?

I don't know...

yeah I’m just gonna heat this up, make a little hot tub for little jerry.

-hey kramer... be careful.

Helen: Don't eat cookies for breakfast! I'll fix you something. How 'bout a feta cheese omelette?

Kramer: That sounds great, Mom.

Jerry: If you feed him, he'll never leave!

Helen: We don't have any feta. How about cottage cheese and Egg Beaters?

Kramer, immaturely: I guess.

He's not family.  It's different psychologically...

They wanted to read a Truman Capote book.

Oh, sure...Truman Capote.

He's a great writer.

Oh, yeah.

Did you ever read anything by him?

No. You?

Nah.

Don't you see how wrong that is? Where's the Christmas spirit? An eye for an eye!

And instead of a tree, didn't your father put up an aluminum pole?

So, what does a guy gotta do around here to get a library card?

Did I need that pointed out for me? What is that going to do for me? How does that help me, to see her? I'm trying to live my life. Don't show me that.

busy, don’t give me busy.  who’s not busy?  I’m busy, we’re all busy, everybody’s busy.  alright tell me, what’s kept YOU so busy?

-mostly chemotherapy.  hey I’ll see ya.

Not a quote...but happy Festivus Eve to all of you!

Remember to put out a can of WD-40 under the aluminum pole tonight for you know who...

The wife burned herself yesterday. Every time she mentions it I tell her I’m getting her a balm from the maestro. She’s very amused.

I wonder if there are any Seinfeld fans who don't know where George's answering machine message came from. I'm watching a rerun of Greatest American Hero on H&I right now. That was maybe the best bad tv show ever made. And the theme song became a radio hit. But the show didn't have much of a following. It was cancelled before the end of the third season. Anyway, just in case you didn't know...

Believe it or not, George isn't at home
Please leave a message at the beep
I must be out or I'd pick up the phone
Where could I be?
Believe it or not, I'm not home!

No. Why don't you tell me?

Sorry, I read your post wrong. I was making fun of you because I thought you just figured out where the song came from. I was going to tell you that every male over 40 knows that song well.

I had heard the song before I saw it on Seinfeld, but didn't know it was from a TV show.

Yeah, I watched the pilot of Greatest American Hero when it was first broadcast. I was always a fan of the song, too (the Joey Scarbury version didn't appear until the second episode, part 2 of the pilot). I thought it was hysterical that George used it as his answering machine message. Seinfeld had a lot more viewers than Greatest American Hero ever had. I figure there have to be some people who didn't get that reference. There have to be some who don't know where that emblem comes from when they see it on one of Sheldon's shirts on Big Bang Theory.

I've also seen some old reruns of Murphy Brown recently. I had forgotten that Murphy constantly replacing weird or incompetent secretaries was a running gag on that show. That makes her line about having a good feeling about Kramer that much funnier.

You want a Christmas card? You want a Christmas card? Here! Here's your Christmas card!

kruger my son tells me your company stinks!  you couldn’t smooth a silk sheet if you had a hot date with a babe—  ...lost my train of thought.

There's an excellent podcast called Seincast. They break down every single Seinfeld episode ever made. A lot of behind the scenes facts, and interviews with the cast. Pretty interesting.

The Strike, or the Festivus episode is next on my list. It's Seincast Episode 166.

Can you listen to on a laptop over wi-fi or is it like a satellite radio deal?  I'm tech illiterate.

iTunes Podcasts appears to have every episode for free.

Sweet, I'm in.  Looks like I'm pushing back my 4:00p meeting.

if a patient gets difficult, you quote him.

All right I'm canceling the father-son picnic. I don't know what he's gonna do with all that potato salad.
