Wonder if some of that was fallout from the DC Superman stuff.

I cannot imagine blaming the actors for the issues. He did a good job actually in the role.

There is no way they would have given Castlevania the budget to pull it off live action.

Witcher has a built in world wide audience.

Holy shit that was some awesome swordplay.

The Butcher of Blaviken, indeed.

Agreed. That fight scene in episode 1 was brutally awesome.

The show is based on the books, not the games. No doubt there will be very divided opinions on the show. It is not Game of Thrones. I am enjoying it through 3 episodes, but I read the books and played Witcher 3 so I am biased. I think Cavil is doing a great job and so far I like the casting all around. There are nits to pick but it is an entertaining fantasy series so far.

Pushed through the first two episodes. It better get better soon or I'm out

choreography on-point

Was Yennefer like that in the books? The later episodes, she was more like that in the games. Just finished ep 4. Will do the other half after Xmas.

The dialogue is a bit sappy at times, but I admit to not reading the books.  Swordplay is good as well.  Makes me think if Solomon Kane, but probably how it should have been.  Hope it doesn't fall off the rails further down the road.

But Boobies!  Yay!

Solid B-, some clunky dialogue and pacing but I thought it was pretty fun watch.

Looks better in the video game.  Same for Triss

Not going to hold the reality against it. It is hard to find gals that look like video game hussies but also have a whit of acting talent.

Timeline help. Season 1 is taken from the first two books which are a collection of short stories. Going forward, it should likely be more linear and the main characters have some backstory.

Much to the dismay of my 16yo son, I totally guessed the timeline twist to Ciri/Geralt by Ep 4.  Oh yeah.

The shows been written quite well, for effectively introducing all the necessary fantasy and background elements without making it clumsy and cheap like a SyFy special.

Except Episode 5.  That was quite of a mess.  Saved only by the titties.

The good-natured-but-gruff character of Geralt keeps it a fun watch.

Ep 6 is turning into a more expensive version of Kevin sorbos hercules

How the fuck do you nerds have any idea what is going on in this show?

This.  Holy shit I'm lost and I figured out Westworld without any trouble.

Vulture has a pretty good spoiler free run down of each episode.  I've read each as I've watched to keep up.

Watched a bit as my kids played the Witcher 3 video game a while back.

I decided to finish it last night, instead of waiting. Pretty good first season with a few missteps but overall, better than I expected. As for following along, it helps to have some prior knowledge of the subject matter, either the books or video games. Games for me.

No to all of this. This show is a convoluted fucking mess.

I watched all the episodes, without any background knowledge of the source material, and was able to follow along alright. That Yennefer lady has some nice sweater melons.

The entire season was just exposition. The last sentence above is the correct takeaway so far, other than this takes place at a renaissance fair where magic and monsters are things.

And they are all over the finale.

I really liked it and was disappointed to see that season 2 won’t be out til 2021.

I still haven't gotten around to it. How did they get through 8 episodes and not break out Vesemir? I feel like Mark Hamill would make the perfect Vesemir with his haggard Jedi look.

Probably too busy playing the exact same Haggard Jedi role as Talus in Knightfall

Yennifer looks like she has a big dip in her mouth.

You know how I know Yennifer was born on a Wednesday?  Anyone.....anyone...

I got lost a bit on ep 3 with Yennefer and the monster.  Whatever.  Its a good show.

I have no foundation of the witcher story so going in fresh has been fine.  I'm enjoying it.

Cavil is good.  Dude probably never gets laid though. Poor bastard.

Bra, you kill some monsters, get some coins, and head for the local taverns.  Easy formula.  What else would be have spent his money on, Amazon?

The games are definitely worth it. My favorite lass from the games will likely not make it in the show, Shani. Also, Triss is much hotter and randy in the games.

Titties are the only thing saving this show

You threatened to quit after 2 episodes, yet keep watching and commenting about how terrible it is. That seems odd.

You know porn exists, right?

While I disagree with him on this bringing nothing but boobs, I will take up for him on this one point. Like my long lost cousin Ron says, "once you've seen one pair of boobs, you want to see the rest of them."

Killed it. Liked it.

Look forward to season 2 :)

yes 2 super hot babes   Yen and Triss

We get to see Yen’s boobs? Will her hump be gone by then?
