June 10Jun 10 eat Chinese food directly from the square carton with chopsticks. I've never seen a real person do that. Not ever. Put the Kung Pao (Gil likes is chicken spicy) over a little rice on a plate or in a bowl. That's how real people do it.

So yeah, the people in TV shows and movies are doing it slightly wrong, but it's only because they aren't fully utilizing the cartons the way they were designed.

June 10Jun 10 Come at the same time. And after sex, for some reason, the woman becomes very bashful. She pulls the covers up to her neck, and then when she gets out of bed she takes the comforter with her, wrapped around about 98% of her body.

June 10Jun 10 That I need to rewatch. Apparently I've forgotten a lot. I had to google Tom Wilkinson baguettes. Amazing James Newton Howard score, too.

June 10Jun 10 If anyone in San Antonio likes local improv comedy for mature audiences, I recommend going to see “Holding Pattern” at the Blind Tiger comedy club this Saturday at 10PM. tickets are $13 in advance. https://blindtigercomedy.club/events/5bc448ce-a826-4733-a229-884745bfa701 It’s a great date night option too… it’s a small venue with a full bar upstairs. Anyway, I know a guy in this troupe and I thought I’d pass the word along. You’ll laugh your ass off. thanks for supporting local comedy /threadjack

If you have a brown paper bag with a baguette sticking out of it then the audience just knows it's groceries without even thinking about it.

June 15Jun 15 A handful of extras in a movie about ancient Rome raise trumpets when the emperor rides by and play a fanfare sounding like the entire brass section of a big symphony orchestra (or the LHMB)

June 15Jun 15 Guy holds a loaded gun pointed at another guy's face. Other guy smirks and doesn't take it seriously. Then gun guy cocks the gun. Now other guy stops smirking and is suddenly scared. I would think just having the loaded gun pointed at my face would be enough for me to take the situation seriously.

And why is the gun never cocked beforehand by the murderer?

June 16Jun 16 Not super common but I’ve seen it a few times including recently (forgot the movie, but I know it was in one of the Terminator movies) - hiding keys on the sunvisor.
