What did that ball actually bounce off of?  On the broadcast they said his head.

The ball bounced off his right shoulder.

Left field was a tough break. SS choosing against an easy game winning double play is an all time fuckup.

A more Arkansas fuckup would have been to make the double play and win, then suffer a ridiculously stupid collapse in the ninth of the next game.

Even the foul pop up in the finals a few years ago was a tough break because those are hard especially when it hangs up long enough for three guys to converge, even major leaguers miss those sometimes. LF looks like he lost it in the lights for a second and slipped readjusting, tough break. For the SS to consciously forego an easy game winning double play is flat out stupid decision making and way beyond any other fuckup from that inning or maybe any other similar situation in a win or go home situation.

Does anyone have the shoulder bouncy ball in gif form? I need to send it to my Arkansas co-worker. Thanks

Arkansas getting knocked out like that is perfect. I don’t think anyone is beating coastal this year so lsu getting beat in the title game is fine by me.

Yeah if LSU loses, this will be a fine and memorable CWS.

Agreed.  Sadly the left fielder’s play will live in infamy because of the visuals but that play doesn't happen if the short stop makes the double play.

Sure but we need hilarious visuals for the memes. So I am grateful the left fielder came through for us.

They play solid baseball year in and year out.  They were a lot of fun In 2016 and hope they do the same this year.

Me too.  One of my subcontractors is a huge LSU fan and he fucked me out of 2k last month, so fuck them even more than usual.

even with the slight slip, he's got a bead on it, but when he dives his left knee digs into the ground and his whole body including left arm drop.

You and I have very different definitions of the word "sadly."

Not intentionally walking the dude is the worst fuckup of that inning imo.

This year is the first of 4-5 that we (myself as coach and Lil’ Nigel) have a lot of teammates, friends, and players we competed against since age 9 playing D1, several of whom we have been watching in the playoffs the past two weeks (two play for UT).  Our closest friends and Lil’ Nigel’s teammate plays for LSU.  It hits different when you have kids that age, especially if you are close to them.  You have a greater respect for “them man in the arena.”  I know first hand watching Lil’ Nigel on national TV this past fall make a mistake for all the world to see.

All that being said, I don’t like Arkansas and had a horrible experience there watching UT football back in the day.  But my first thought last night was “Oh, no.  I feel bad for those two players.”  The LSU dad’s first text to me last night was, “Sometimes it goes your way and sometimes not.  Man, I feel bad for those players from Arkansas.”  Dad vibes.

The second baseman still should have made that catch to keep it a tie game.  That ball hit the side of his glove, not over the top.

That's a play most guys make.

Looks to me like player #2 probably had the catch until player #3 comes running in at full speed and fucked it up.

Reposted from a hog fan, and I just rolled my eyes.  Trashy arkie fans have never, ever said anything negative about opponents.

My son just told me the team went out, picked him up, walked around giving away their gear.

For most this is their last Hurrah.

Classy. That’s the one word I’d use to describe hog fans. Other than those 10,000 or so on the walk to the stadium in 2004 that ranged in age from 3-80 who all told me to fuck off and die.

In fairness, you told Kevin Morgan similar.

Nothing suddenly about CC…..once I saw the players, it was easy knowing who to pull against, consequently…..it was easy to cheer for Coastal….now, if LSU can lose the way Arky did, that would be an appropriate ending to this series.

Timmy Lupus would’ve caught that.

Katie Stewart would have caught that….as well.

That is the greatest thing since Jose Canseco's head homer. Right off the top of the glove.

That is exactly what happened. It was hilarious. He called off the guy who could have easily made the play and overran it.

The older I get the more empathy I feel for the kids.  Don’t give a flying fuck about the Arky fanbase.  They can pound sand.

Are we sure that didn’t fly off his right hip/ butt cheek?  Looks like he came up and gave it a flex bump at the exact right time.

Go Coastal. They won it all in 2016, the last year OKST was in the CWS. We just poached Oregon’s pitching coach so I’m pretty excited for next year.

At least they are getting paid now. Well...ok fine. At least they are getting legally paid now.

So who’s the CWS choker champion?  Aggy or Piggy?

I think it went off his right shoulder or shoulder blade by the way the way it bounced so hard and far away.

Has to be Pig.   Two choke jobs for them vs one for aggy.

Slowed the video down last night,  Crazily it went off the back of the glove (top of the hand).

The Doctor Doctor said you can turn the Lights Out on the Pigs, as they hit Rock Bottom.

Don't sleep on FSU. 24 CWS's and zero titles.

Davalan was equally stellar in the field. He recorded 101 putouts this season and the error on Wednesday was his only one of the season. Van Horn had no shortage of sympathy for the All-SEC First-Team outfielder.

Wow…kid’s first error all year…yikes.

Zero titles and many consider them to be a blue blood. Go back and look at the players they have had, JD Drew, Buster Posey are 2 off the top of my head.

I mean really good teams that just could not get it done. Texas went there for a super and had FSU upset about it before we even got there and then schooled them on our way to Omaha.

There's a huge mindfuck in Tallahassee when it comes to the post season.

I wonder if ESPN will show the play in left field tonight that gave LSU the win....nah....they wouldn't do that....would they?
