July 23Jul 23 Carmelina’s in the north end is pretty decent. Good mussels and clams. It’s a small place so reserve ahead of time.
July 25Jul 25 My son's house, which serves as the defacto frat house (they don't have dedicated physical houses at Northeastern) has a basement where they throw parties. It looks like a scene from "Saw" Edited July 25Jul 25 by Sbbruin

July 25Jul 25 Any recs on food inside the stadium?Told my wife the food plan is a grilled Italian sausage outside the stadium, then a hot dog inside (which thrilled her, she loved a good old American hot dog). They also serve legal seafoods chowder inside, which is legit.

July 26Jul 26 Yes. They're paying them $50/hr to fill inHuh. Our seats are right around there tomorrow.

Had seats closer to the foul pole several years ago when Houston was in town( before their WS run), most uncomfortable I’ve been having to crank my neck to see the action. Great park/area though.
July 26Jul 26 We’ve got a harbor cruise in the afternoon, so we may not get there too far in advance of the game. Will try to rally.

July 26Jul 26 18 hours ago, Sbbruin said: Any recs on food inside the stadium? Fenway allows you to bring in outside food and unopened water bottles. You can buy an Italian sausage and peppers on a roll from a street vendor and just stroll right in. The main food stand behind home plate behind section 20 or so gets wicked long lines. I think it’s often faster to find stairs and go down to the food kiosks in the subterranean level.
July 26Jul 26 If you're at the old Navy Yard, by the Constitution, might as well check out Cassin Young. Most numerous, fightin'est warships of WWII.

July 27Jul 27 Damn good game to watch, got to see it all: Ohtani lead off HR, another HR over the monster two batters later, and a Sox comeback win (cuz F the Dodgers). Then, Inka took us to a place where he knows the bartendress, we had beverages, and went full Coach Beard. Not kidding, the music, dance club lights, the whole show. Wife enjoyed it, couldn’t help but dance a little bit. On the T home now.
July 27Jul 27 Congrats, everybody! [/url] tv video That video was recorded right in front of us. Cool as hell. I’ve seen Ohtani twice now, and he does not disappoint.
July 27Jul 27 We did the Concord museum today which was cool, but a little boring. But then drove over to the North Bridge where the "shot heard round the world" was fired, and that was cool. Very cool. First aggression of the colonies against their British occupation. And here we are today. Not sure they would be all that stoked on where we are today, but it was the right call then (/no CR but a little CR)

Walking Freedom Trail today, quite reminded that tyrants are for expelling and deposing and shooting. The reminder feels good.

They stayed out of the way and just did their thing. Was fun to watch. Boston's finest were real chill with them.

Son might have had one bourbon more than needed, but the kid had a blast. Bartender liked him so she was hooking him up.
July 28Jul 28 We were in Boston for less than 24 hours. Focus was on Fenway and the area. Some highlights. 1- Got my fix on Clam Chowder. 2- Son got to meet and have a beer with one of his idols, Jonny Gomes. 3- He found his new Sox hat. 4- Chapman drives an APC. No weapons, but the mounts are there. That sensor on the top is worth a pretty penny.
July 28Jul 28 If you have time for pizza before heading to the airport, Santarpio’s in East Boston. Quick uber to Logan. The place is so Boston it hurts.
