September 27, 20196 yr Can someone make a list of these idiots aimlessly living their lives with no idea where they are or what apartment they live in? I would love to keep as far away from these fuckwits as possible.
September 27, 20196 yr Apartment complex must be loving all the free publicity about their locks and general security.

Gooby's comments confused the hell out of me and made me question what I thought I knew. I was told she'd be back. Imagine my dismay at some 5'6" dude on the stand who has horrible luck finding his apartment.
September 27, 20196 yr OK I'm trying to fight crime fighting and my legal assistant is off and the goddamn phone won't stop ringing. Did the state not re-cross Guyger after lunch?
September 27, 20196 yr Maybe it's just me, but all this testimony about going to the wrong apartment now seems almost irrelevant. It now seems to be all about what happened at the door.
September 27, 20196 yr Well...hellloooooo Jessica! Have you slept with any of your students? Edited September 27, 20196 yr by hullabelew

Unless they say “I walked into an apartment with with a doormat, even though mine didn’t have one, and a cracked open door, behind which I could hear a person walking around,” it doesn’t seem like it should move the needle.

September 27, 20196 yr so... these witnesses all realized eventually they were at the wrong apartment. this helps the defense how?
September 27, 20196 yr So defense brings up a lady who noticed she was standing at the wrong apartment door because: - missing doormat. Wtf is going on here? Edited September 27, 20196 yr by smuggs
September 27, 20196 yr He will let them keep bringing these lost fools up...and in closing, 'and not a one of them killed anyone'.

September 27, 20196 yr They just want to get to the end of the day. Start tomorrow with their key witness, who is the Dr? Or whomever?

Plus the most exciting witness testified this morning. The jury isn’t listening anymore. The defense is just waiting for recess so they can build up their defense through experts tomorrow when the jury is fresh again.

September 27, 20196 yr So the state objects (and gets sustained) when the defense asks "what would you do" to the cop, but the defense does not. nice job, defense attorneys
September 27, 20196 yr Fellow cop just testified that he would wait for backup in a similar situation.
September 27, 20196 yr I am sure this is common in most proceedings but the absolute and clear bias the cops have that are testifying is terrifying.
September 27, 20196 yr If the defense keeps bringing up people to say that they were often confused, could the prosecution just ask them "Did anyone die when that happened?"

September 27, 20196 yr The one thing I keep thinking about is that if my job is as an apartment maintenance person, this case could very well insure that it is absolutely 100% ok for someone to shoot me while I am doing my job.

This testimony is just a bunch of wadding the defense is shoving in the gaping wound that the state blew in the defendant.
September 27, 20196 yr Did the judge just say she hoped to have the jury break at 4? Meaning leave for the day or start deliberations???
September 27, 20196 yr recessing til 3:05 at which point they're going to prepare for an expert's testimony, jury is coming back in at 4. what are they going to do between 3:05 and 4? discuss what's permissible to ask and what isn't permissible as evidence?

IANAL but I've watched enough legal dramas on film and television to know you don't ask a question when you're not sure of the answer. This question could very easily be answered "yes" by someone. The question "in those situations did you ever shoot anyone?" would be a lot safer way to go based on my Hollywood expertise. 1 minute ago, Orange&White said: The one thing I keep thinking about is that if my job is as an apartment maintenance person, this case could very well insure that it is absolutely 100% ok for someone to shoot me while I am doing my job.
