August 28Aug 28 OTF is having a happy hour at Gresso’s in German Village, Guild House has a typical nice hotel restaurant bar area but I wouldn’t recommend hanging out there for more than a drink or two
August 28Aug 28 Best of luck to all of y’all headed to couch burning central. Fuck the buckeyes and their shitty fans in the goatass.

August 28Aug 28 I went in 2005, and to pretty much every non-con road game since. Won’t be there this weekend and am now getting some serious FOMO. But glad I won’t be dealing with their trashy fans.
August 28Aug 28 Having lunch at the walrus.. Weather sucks.. Cool and dreary.. Take me back to Galveston 😢

August 28Aug 28 Yep that looks like the gameday spot, the last hour will be inside the stadium. https://promo.espn.com/collegegameday/ Edited August 28Aug 28 by hornbri
August 28Aug 28 Good news! The Ohio Stadium says they have upgraded their concessions. They have bbq and Mexican food now! 😂 (I have learned not to eat bbq, Mexican food or Chicken fried Steak north of the Red River)

August 29Aug 29 Arrived yesterday afternoon and met some really friendly people, check out 4th street taproom and kitchen (1810 N 4th St, Columbus, OH 43201) Monica the bartender is terrific.. Great place to watch post games..just far enough outside of campus for a mix of college graduates and classy locals. They have a great draft selection and the food is great

August 29Aug 29 Just now, Horndog said: Not if you're flying out of DFW. We all took the 7:20am direct. I’m walking High Street now, nice BO&W adornment at the Le Méridien Columbus.
August 29Aug 29 On my morning flight from DC, the flight attendant announced: “Welcome all UT Longhorn fans and the one guy wearing an Ohio State jersey to our American Airlines flight to Columbus.” And then that guy started an O-H-I-O chant. The Columbus airport is selling Texas shirts and hats, so they’re expecting a decent contingent.
August 29Aug 29 Author Lot of orange and lot of red on my flight from Atlanta. We will not be underrepresented this weekend…
August 29Aug 29 Just saw Saban here at the Junto when we were checking in. He was rushed upstairs. Not sure if he’s staying here or here for the big donor event upstairs.
August 29Aug 29 Buckeye fan here. If you guys are looking for something fun to do tonight, there is the Columbus Greek Festival right near the end of the short north, about a 5 minute walk from The Guild House. Its a good time and should be popping. Hope you guys have a good time in Columbus!

Its a pretty unique experience if you haven't been, and I think its only 5 bucks for the weekend. It gets super slammed. 80% of the people that attend are not Greek so its welcoming to everyone.

A lot of people chirped after the game but unless you were looking for trouble it was fine. OSU fans around us were entertaining to talk ball with. Weird gameday experience. Every other OSU fan needed to say Horns Down but couldn’t even make the symbol right. Had multiple people give me a mahalo. Also, I had no phone service for like the whole day. Not sure how OSU doesn’t build their gameday for coverage. Edited August 31Aug 31 by Tex48
