Like it matters.  He'll get hurt this season regardless.

I think he is extension eligible after this season so I expect that is some of the reason for him getting in shape.    That said, I would be absolutely shocked if he plays more than 50 gms.

He's missed fewer than 20 games exactly one season in his entire career.  He missed an entire season once.  Most games played 70.  Second most is 61.  Third most is 30.  Literally 30.

Damn, Jared McCain hurt his thumb and could Be out a bit.

Hopefully he isn’t just endlessly injured because he’s fun to watch

It's a question of how much of his being fat as fuck contributed to those injuries. He had a meniscus tear, a foot fracture that cost him an entire season, he hurt his back last year right before the playoffs, and then there's been a myriad of other leg injuries -- hamstring, ankle, toe, calf, etc. I could see a world where his body isn't carrying such a heavy load and then he stays healthy. In the few times that his body has been right, he's been close to unstoppable.

But for sure he'll stay healthy this year, get a max contract extension (Joe Dumars in the house now running shit), snd put on 50 lbs of fat next off season. The Pels, for all of their lottery luck, really can't seem to get a break.

Even though I knew it was coming, it still hurts...

BREAKING: Free agent Al Horford has committed to a multi-year deal with the Golden State Warriors, agent Jason Glushon tells ESPN. After seven of the past nine years in Boston and winning the 2024 title, Horford will enter his 19th NBA season as the Warriors' starting center.

Breaking: Ending a summer-long stalemate, Jonathan Kuminga has agreed to a two-year, $48.5 million contract to return to the Golden State Warriors, agent Aaron Turner told ESPN. The deal has a team option designed for the contract to be ripped up and renegotiated next summer.
Kuminga chose this two-year deal over three years and $75M so he can maintain a higher level of control over his immediate future. The Warriors never wavered on team option frameworks. Now, both sides understand likelihood of exploring trades when Kuminga is eligible in January. https://t.co/NfPxZKV6mC

Cool. Enjoy coming off the bench 10 games into the season.

Does Jimmy make it 10 games?

Y'all are running a fuckin retirement home over there.

It's hard to imagine a less inspiring off-season. I mean, obviously the title window has long since closed, but some competitiveness would be cool.

This looks significantly better than the last one:

One of the most epic seasons in NBA history.Starting 5 Season 2 with Jaylen Brown, Kevin Durant, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Tyrese Haliburton and James Harden drops October 16.

I mean yeah if I was a Thunder fan I'd probably tune in, too.

Not sure why I want to relive a disaster KD season and one of the most heartbreaking NBA games I've ever seen.

Dominayton with 1 point and 4 turnovers in 18 minutes in his first preseason action with the Lakers.

Oh and Bronny was 1/12. If anyone still gives a shit.

Shai and Halliburton are individually boring people but the storyline ended up being great.  Hopefully Netflix gets that.  Last season of this was boring AF to the point I quit watching.  It was Bron getting massages all day and Jayson Tatum talking about his mom, god, and basketball or something.

The KD angle seems boring.  Double boring with Brown.  Harden might be funny just because he's funny.

#929

Bronny with 4 fouls and 5 turnovers in 23 min.

Kid has no business being on a roster. He makes Malaki Branham look like Donovan Mitchell.

If Bronny can’t be a high level defender and shoot north of 35% from 3, I’m not sure he makes it 5 years in the league.

How many more years will Lebron play?  I don't see Bronny out of the league before his old man

Needs 3 years to qualify for a NBA pension. 10 years to max out it out. 10 years of service would be stunning.

His dad is worth a billion dollars. I think he'll be fine.

Unless LeBron does the Warren Buffet thing.

I guess I don't really follow this drama, but isn't it a good thing if he got in shape, regardless of the fact it shouldn't have taken this long and that his motivation might have been financial? Take the win and hope it works out.

Kerr hilariously not playing Kuminga. Never change you old codger.

They may be keeping him wrapped in bubble wrap to make sure he is healthy when trade eligible.  Maybe.......

What’s their leverage? My wife and my sister know the Warriors want to deal him. I get their thinking. Extend the “championship window” for Curry, but there’s not a Luka level one sided trade out there for Kuminga.

I fully expect the reply to be a Nico “you sure about that?!” gif.

I dont know about leverage but they cant trade him at all if he's hurt.

Cooper Flagg is special.  Sucks that Kyrie is hurt; otherwise Dallas would likely be a top 4 seed in the West.

Cooper Flagg has arrived 🍿Back-to-back buckets for the No. 1 pick's first career preseason points!

I'd have them 1-2, actually, if they're 100% healthy which will never happen.  At worst on par with OKC and Denver.

Not sure there is a team out there with a) the assets to land Giannis and would interest Giannis and b) enough other assets to be a title contender after giving up those to the point that Giannis would be interested.

New York emerged as the only team Giannis Antetokounmpo desired outside of Milwaukee in the offseason, sources told ESPN, and the Knicks and Bucks engaged in talks for a window of time.Inside the clouds leaving Giannis' future hanging in the balance: https://t.co/yxcmDnzQ6K
