Solid commitment announcement with the fam. No drawn-out games, just telling the world he's happy to be a Longhorn. A great Independence Day just got greater.

Awesome pick-up.  Win some, lose some, hopefully he turns out to be solid contributor.

For the folks wondering if he's an interior lineman: https://www.hudl.com/video/3/20147061/6508744ba676570578c06675

Full disclaimer: I'm not a scout, highlight feels ultimately don't really tell you a damn thing, and I don't know shit about fuck. However... his movement looks super polished and athletic. He seems more fluid than some TEs I've seen us recruit (cue the size complaints). Speaking of, from the highlights, the size criticism certainly looks overblown. Sure, he could get bigger - but most HS OTs can - and he's still heavier than Sam Cosmi and Connor Williams were. Plus, even if his weight is not ideal, strength certainly doesn't seem to be an issue.

tl;dr: WATCH. THE. TAPE. We got the better player today
