Fuck Jerry for 29 we have sucked due to this guy. Good thing is it feels good to see Jerry hurt like I use to 25 years ago.

We had two good games - Eagles Chiefs, and that woke up opposing coaches. The team played hard. The D hit hard tonight and last week, but there's only so much they can do when the coaching can't keep up with the competition. We were out-coached, especially on D, and we were out-quarterbacked.

Time to admit that Dak is a mediocre QB at best who gets his stats in garbage time. He has his moments, but it looks to me like he's a sub-par field general. I guess he's not capable of recognizing defensive weaknesses and calling the right audible at the right time, and he makes some bad decisions once the play starts. His pocket awareness is sub par. His scrambling ability is mediocre at best. What QB can't scramble for ten yards once in a while? He's a little on the slow side (running that is). And maybe he's just a little slow in the head? Not stupid, mind you, but not near the top of the class when it comes to NFL QBs. That's a possibility. Hate to say it, but how many times have we seen him settling for three-yard passes... or a 7 yarder on 4th and 8 with the season on the line. He's not fluid in the pocket.

Dak is a stat whore except in the one that matters most.

Chiefs game was fool’s gold IMO. They suck this year.

Yall let JJ McCarthy have the best game of his career and you think Dak is the problem???

Hoooolyyy shiiiiit.

Y’all deserve Jerry and the dysfunction.

This here... Dak is a "stat whore' because the defense can't stop anybody. Got it.

The people hating on Dak are ridiculous.

The defense is absolute ass. That is why this team sucked this year.

Oh, and Jerry.  Why had nobody sabotaged his private jet yet?

Truth. Is Dak a mediocre qb? Maybe.

He don't play on the worst defense in NFL history. He can't play offensive tackle for himself on both shitty sides while he's standing in the pocket. Get any qb you want.

Leave it to the Cowboys to lose a critical "must win" game, at home, on prime-time TV, against a terrible opponent that they "should" beat.

The Vikings quarterback looks like a middle school kid who gets an atomic wedgie and his lunch money taken every day.

Also, as someone else posted above, you'd have better protection and run blocking if you replaced a few Dallas O-Linemen with chairs and a jersey draped over them.

JJ McCarthy's throwing motion looks like he started playing football last week.  Of course he had the best game of his career against this crap secondary.

Really need Dallas to win 8 games this year

8-8-1 is absolutely perfect for this franchise. Fucking print it on a banner and hang it in Jerryworld. Make a docuseries about it. Rename Jerry’s yacht 8-8-1.

This seasons shitshow is entirely in the defense.

Current position of their two first round picks as the standings are today would give Dallas the 14th and 23rd picks..

Shouldn't be too far from that at the end. Better not blow those, because the rest of that draft is pretty gutted. I can see them, and probably should, trade the later one down to pick up a couple of extra picks somewhere between the 2nd and 4th rounds.

Stephen A said something like -- in 7 losses, Dak had 6 TD Passes and 7 Interceptions and ??? (a bunch) of sacks.

Last night, they scored 9 points in the second half. Three FGs. Yeah. Dak and the offense deserve their share of the fucking blame. The D was on the field too long. The offense fucking sucks right along with the D. Decent in the middle of the field, but inevitably fucks up.

Bo Nix in his second year in the NFL has led his team to 11 straight wins.

That brings us to Coaching. Jerry has always gone cheap on hiring coaches. Probably the biggest problem this team has.

I swear I heard an interview with Pete Carroll circa 2010 where he said that when he decided to leave USC, he met with Jerry and was ready to sign on the dotted line. Gung Ho. until Jerry made him an offer that would have made him the second lowest-paid coach in the NFL. America's team, worth more than any other franchise - second lowest paid coach in the league? Carroll bailed. He goes to Seahawks in 2010. In 2010, Jerry hires smilin' Jason Garrett (for the next 10 effing years). Since Garrett was unproven, I gotta believe he came cheap. Cheap, Cheap.

Mike McCarthy - Wasn't he unemployed when Jerry came calling? Can you say "cheap".

Schottenheimer - How in Demand was he to be a Head Coach??? Eberflus???

Remember when Jimmy Johnson joined Jerry and together they were going to conquer the football world? Can't help but wonder if Jerry pulled the rug out from under Jimmy Johnson after 2 Superbowls by informing him that, of all those riches coming America's Team's way, Jimmy wasn't going to get any more than a perfunctory raise. Jimmy probably had an ironclad clause in his contract forbidding him from ever disclosing any contract details - and you know Jones would have enforced it. All Jimmy could do was walk. We never got a reason. No facts supporting any of that... just wondering out loud.

The more things change, the more things stay the same.  The Cowboys keep changing coaches, players, cheerleaders, ticket takers, half time shows, etc. etc. etc. yet for 30 years they have not won more than 1 playoff game in a year or sniffed a Super Bowl.   30 years!

2 years straight of no playoffs but the writing was on the wall early on after the first 3 games where the defense was horrendous and offense for 2 of the 3 games wasn't consistent enough. The big nail in the coffin was getting dominated at home by a terrible Cardinals team, who was on a 5 game losing streak heading into that game, and hasn't won a game since.

This offense goes too long without doing anything. Defense makes terrible QBs like McCarthy look really good.

This year and last year are the product of the same ol front office. Doing nothing to improve in the offseason. This team should have been torn down after the GB playoff game blowout.

They were 7-10 in 2024. The only teams they beat were shitty teams (Wash, Giants, etc). Guess that was the final nail in Fat Mike's coffin.

Second half:

Cowboys - 37 plays; 17:29 TOP

Vikings - 26 plays (not including kneel down); 12:31 TOP

The Vikings' defense was on the field for nearly the entire 3rd quarter. Where did you get this impression that Dallas' defense was tired????

You lost because the defense couldn't stop a JJ McCarthy-led offense and Aubrey missed two field goals.

Bo Nix hasn't led the Broncos to shit - it's been the defense. Just because he lit Dallas' defense up like a Christmas tree (like every other QB they've faced) doesn't mean he's been that good this year.

He's certainly improved but the Broncos are undefeated and have a lot more comfortable wins if they had Dak instead of Bo.

The Vikings were getting a lot of pressure on Dak and it got worse when Smith went out after getting his eye poked.  I think that was the biggest issue last night on offense.

I really didn't like the 59 yard field goal attempt. I knew he would miss it, and that was pretty much the game, giving them the field position. Cowboys battled field position all night due to Vikes key punts and their own penalties. Their best chance to was to punt, keep them from driving the whole field, and get the ball back in a one-score game. Or gamble bigger and go for it. A field goal lead wasn't going to hold up. Probably Schott's worst game management.

The offense suffered when Javonte went out. Having that more consistent running game with occasional nice chunks was huge. If he was in the whole game it would have made difference.

Back end of the defense is just wet toilet paper. Maybe some of it is shitty scheming. Definitely need some back end guys and linebackers, and a bigger edge setting DE would be nice.

TOP for the entire game was about equal. In the second half we did very little with our TOP. In the second half, what good did our TOP advantage do us? 9 fucking points good. Whose fault was that? The Defense's? If the D is so bad, how did we hold the Vikings to 12:31 TOP in the second half? It didn't help that we gave them the ball at midfield twice. Didn't that result in ten points or so. Yes the D sucked, but the offense also gets a lot of the blame.

Bo Nix has a 4 year $19mil contract. The point is that having a $50mil QB two "star" caliber receivers and a couple of very serviceable RBs won't get the job done if you pay for coaches who don't know how to overcome weaknesses and who make stupid effing decisions during a game... and a QB who, regardless of what Collingsworth said, doesn't take control. 9 points a half ain't getting it done.

The Vikes blitzed the hell out of the Cowboys. That just might make a couple of linemen look extra bad if your coach and QB don't know how to overcome it. If it couldn't be done, everybody in the league would be blitzing that much. The player at the heart of the offensive woes is Dak Prescott.

Dallas? Eflurbus is probably Jerry’s backup plan in case Schittenheimer falls apart.

Amusing bothsideism when the Cowboys have the #1 offense and #29 defense in the league.

#29 seems too generous

The only defense that looked objectively worse was LV and they might be the worst team the NFL has seen in a while.

Edit: HAHA just looked it up and they are ranked a solid 16. Dallas D is truly pathetic.

I've lived in Houston for 15 years. I'll never root for the Astros, but I don't have the same aversion to the Texans. They have their own issues, of course, but they're at least attempting to win, versus existing solely to serve the ego of one person.

I wanted to root for Houston when they came into the league. Expansion team, fresh start right when I got out of HS..and then they went and named themselves the Texans. What kinda lazy shit was that. Then they pass on VY. I was like, nah I’m good.

they ain’t done shit either, but I do like how they play defense. That’s what I love about football. Play hard. Play physical. Hit a fucker in his mouth.

Fingers crossed on the Texans. Their offense woke up yesterday.

Watching the Cowboys will be brutal from here on out, but I probably will.

Apparently the last 3 are Eberflus' performance review before Jerrah cans his ass.

Being right is subjective… maybe drafting a Texas Legend, Houston native, the most electric college QB of that era, and a ready made face of the franchise could have change the trajectory of both parties.

He’s already gone. Jerry just can’t say that. He shouldn’t say anything, of course, but since he must, he can’t disclose he will make a change. There is nothing eberflus can possibly do, and he knows that. Everyone knows it.

Nobody is going to be successful with this personnel, which the exception of an all-in DC like Quinn. But he had the benefit of personnel MUCH better than what Nolan, Zimmer and Eberflus, and the Cowboys D was average in ‘23 under him. Literally nobody is going to be successful with the 5 decent defenders we have, and zero depth. We know Eberflus cannot, and he should be gone, but this is primarily a talent issue.
