October 29Oct 29 I've kind of come around to the idea that the Cowboys should re-sign Pickens. I mean, in a rational world, no, it makes no sense to have that much money tied up in 2 receivers when the defense needs so much help. But in the actual world that we live in, Jerruh is going to plead poverty when it comes time to sign free agents anyway, so we might as well have a fun offense. To put it another way, we can spend $30m and have Pickens, or we can spend like $6m on one year deals for past their prime defensive veterans while Jerry spends the other $24m on an Olympic swimming pool full of Johnny Blue. Neither one gets us any closer to the Super Bowl, but I know which one is more entertaining for me as a fan to watch.

October 30Oct 30 Being the Cowboys’ GM is now Jerry’s side gig. This is no surprise. Him and his inbred family are usually on his yacht when free agency starts.

You see how valuable he is when Lamb goes down, otherwise the offense is pretty lame. Keeping him with the franchise tag would be worth it for a year, maybe they can get a deal done. He seems to like it here.
November 1Nov 1 Cowboys are pretty much the Bengals with a lesser qb, but equally zero defense. They just have the nail the living shit out of a totally defensive draft. Be nice if they could trade some dead weight for another pick or two.
November 2Nov 2 https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/46810899/sources-seahawks-field-trade-calls-boye-mafe-riq-woolen Remember Demarcus Lawrence saying he was going to a winning organization?
November 2Nov 2 Rico busts a modest 130 yards and 2TDs on the Packers in the upset of the day. Bryce Young was sacked once. Parsons had one solo tackle, three total.

So we win the trade? We’d have beaten Carolina with Parsons right? Or is it good that even they couldn’t beat Carolina either?

Not trying to fanboy away anything. But Parsons hasn't been as good as advertised in his short time with Green Bay, for whatever reasons. Carolina is clearly not as bad as anyone though, very good D, strong running game. NFL gonna NFL. Shit teams don't have to stay shit teams for long. If nothing else, it potentially helps that draft pick get one loss better. That's all.
November 2Nov 2 And no way in Hell did Dallas do anything but totally shit themselves with that trade. It will be one of the many sad stories in Jerry Jones era failure for ages to come.
November 2Nov 2 Dallas still needs to pick up some mid round draft picks to even dream about plugging enough defensive holes to significantly improve next year's defense. Their sly trading and draft comp strategery doesn't seem to be all that bountiful. The Cowboys own top 10 pick they earn from having a horrific defense will be the best asset towards improvement. The next will be in replacing DC Matt Elmerfudd.

This is why I still laugh at all those "the cowboys had top 10 defenses those years" idiots. His defense ONLY showed up agianst bad teams, bad QB's, and early in the year. always sucked against good QB's and in during the playoffs against good offenses(49rs starting Purdy is not that)
November 3Nov 3 Are we doing this, or should a new thread be started? MNF, everyone gets to see the shame.

November 3Nov 3 They need to let Aubrey kick from 70 yards. He can definitely beat the record set yesterday.

November 3Nov 3 I have been bitching about it for 2 seasons. I don't know why they refuse to let him break the record. With the right conditions, he can go past 70. Edited November 3Nov 3 by kevwun

Trust the defense, yeah something about a snowball in hell comes to mind. I hope I'm wrong, but this seems like one of those games we come out and trip over ourselves and get beat by a backup QB.

November 3Nov 3 The Cowboys have a Jonathan Mingo shaped hole on this team. The one missing piece to rule them all.

November 4Nov 4 Mazi Smith still healthy inactive. They should just try to make him a guard or some shit. Couldn't be worse.

His defense ONLY showed up agianst bad teams, bad QB's, and early in the year. always sucked against good QB's and in during the playoffs against good offenses(49rs starting Purdy is not that)Yep and this sums up Parsons as well. He never did jack shit when it mattered most. Him and Quinn are one in the same.
November 4Nov 4 Quinn is on the classic Quinn trajectory if you follow his coaching career. Start hot, gradually fade, get fired in year 3 or 4.
November 4Nov 4 I have YTTV. Will I be able to watch the game on the espn+ app? Currently the app is telling me I need a plan? I’m already a subscriber

November 4Nov 4 Not opening the roof, strike one I will never agree or understand this ridiculous format where they choose to or not. It’s not for the fans, absolutely not.
