November 25Nov 25 when I was a little shit growing up I used to watch the TMNT2 VHS on repeat and do the ninja rap dance in my den. I bet my parents considered abandoning me.

November 26Nov 26 Just watched episodes 2 & 3 of the Netflix America's Team that takes you from the drafting of Aikman to their first big season. Talk about a trip down memory lane. Coincidentally, Alvin Harper's name pops up. Tony Casillas, Ken Norton, Novacek, Charles Haley and several more... Oh yeah, Michael Irvin and E. Smith. Amazing photography. Probably the most exciting storytelling I've ever seen out of a documentary. Episode one is all about Jerry. Coulda done without that, but 2 and 3 kinda moves away from his grating presence. Depending on how good your memory is, you'll be on the edge of your seat. You might even whoop a time or two.

I still haven't watched because I didn't want a jerry puff piece... but if 2-3 are that worth it, i might suck it up and watch.

Same. No one will ever be able to convince me that the doc isn't just 8 hours of Jerry patting himself on the back. No interest.
November 26Nov 26 There wasn't a lot of time for Jones in 2 & 3. It starts with the arrival of an incredibly young Troy Aikman and a lot of Michael Irving. They touch on a very difficult first year and then it was a fucking rocket ride with the Niners, the team that won 4 SBs in the 80s, standing in the way. I don't want to spoil anything so I'll just say that they handle a few things that we've all seen before in such a unique way that it's like you're seeing it for the first time. And again, the archive footage has been remastered or something, because the images are eye opening. Almost everything Michael Irvin does is a hoot - the guy is so animated. There's a thing between him and Harper that I'll bet will totally surprise you. Hard to believe we didn't know about this big game incident. They do a good job for setting the stage for some big moments and some big plays, that you likely won't remember what happened until you see them again. Check out Irvin carrying the ball with one hand. Edited November 26Nov 26 by Irish Wrist Watch

Woodson caught him, but couldn't bring him down, and Mike scored. also interesting that Daingerfield's Thomas Everett was in that shot, because the Cowboys traded for him at the beginning of the next year, and he was a key part of that secondary that went back-to-back
November 27Nov 27 Marshawn Kneeland Chase video Not from Local News reporters/journalists, but from the AP and TMZ,,, https://nypost.com/2025/11/26/sports/marshawn-kneeland-dash-cam-footage-reveals-frantic-scene/
November 27Nov 27 Happened to be in Frisco today. Fuck Jerry Jones. It’s just incredible that he built a true football utopia and still can’t do what’s needed to fucking win something.

November 27Nov 27 Well, we play a motivated KC team tomorrow. Although their chances of making the playoffs are a lot higher than ours, they are at 6-5 I think and I also think they're pretty desperate. The Cowboys need a run - a true playoff run. We'll know a lot more by tomorrow evening. We have to kill it on both sides of the ball. Nothing less will get the job done. Edited November 27Nov 27 by Irish Wrist Watch

Good rec. I finished the first 3 episodes. Despite living it it’s been very well done. Only downhill from here though.

November 27Nov 27 Just now, DougO said: That was bad. Turpin appeared to be very open for a first down. I mean he may not have ever looked that way and he damn sure didn’t have time to go through reads to get to Turpin. in no way shape or form should Turpin be a top 2 read.

No, but he was right there in front of the guy he threw it to and was the obvious choice for an easy catch.
