July 20Jul 20 it still kills me that spieth started tinkering with his swing and chasing distance. he needed better people around him
July 20Jul 20 Just another 4 million for Scottie. Likes it’s no thing 2 minutes ago, tx 3 putt said: it still kills me that spieth started tinkering with his swing and chasing distance. he needed better people around him Facts. Just hit fairways. And be magic within 170 yards and no 3 putts

I love Scottie is loyal to his caddie. If it’s working (ahem UT offense at many times throughout my life) keep doing it until you are forced to tweak things or change.

I get everyone gets all romantic about The Open and the Euros talk it up but those two are the two premier tournaments imo followed by the British and then the PGA and The Players round it out.

Yeah, for me it does depend on the golfer. Have seen some winners that didn't necessarily deserve to be a winner of a "Major" Decent article... Definitely favors players that can play the ball down better and handle wind and rain conditions. Bryson's high ball flights seem to cause him to completely blowup at least 1 round every year at "THE OPEN " Edited July 20Jul 20 by LTtxfan messed up

July 20Jul 20 68-64-67-68 worst round was -3. Some guys didn’t get the one real low round, some guys had the one bad round. Scottie got the first and avoided the second. id say he left several on the course, but they all did. It was a scoring dream all week.

July 20Jul 20 Scottie is such a good dude. Terminator on the course but just a good man, dad, hubby…some may feel he’s boring or not exciting. Proud he represents Texas. 🤘🏼 TLDR: his kid isn’t like “who is that?” If he can keep the balance of winning like this and happy home he’s the gold standard. To me. Edited July 20Jul 20 by Nicole44

Which is not to diminish the accomplishment but more to show 1) how early Tiger was dominant and 2) how Scottie’s window of peak play should be shorter, for anyone who wishes to extrapolate this to how many more majors he wins.

July 20Jul 20 Also, his game seems built for a US open so it’s notable to me that it’s the one left that he doesn’t yet have.
