It's legal on first contact and (something else?). I'm not sure but when it happened the entire Louisville fan section was doing the " Six Seven" hand motion
December 13Dec 13 Getting a call on the obvious lift and the obvious double (wtf?) earlier woulda been nice, and probably woulda been pretty huge, but yeah, they fight hard with their backs to the wall.

December 13Dec 13 25-12 Nebraska in set 1 If Kansas can force Nebraska to call a timeout sometime during the match, that would be a win for them.

The only time a double contact costs a point is if it's on the contact that sends it over the net. The idea being there's no advantage if the double contact is on the first or second hit on the attacking team's side of the net.
December 13Dec 13 Kelly looks and sounds like a random fan they let sit on the home bench. She and I are just watching.
December 13Dec 13 Nebraska is 88-0-1 against Kansas volleyball. The Jayhawks have literally never beaten them. 25-12, 25-11. The Cornhuskers are cornholing KUs.

Frankly, this is how Nebraska has treated almost everyone. They look so much better than everyone else. Morrison is going to have to bring out a measuring tape and help the Aggie players figure out the dimensions of the court and the height of the net.

The double I referred to earlier was sent across, iirc on the second contact, spinning wildly. Completely mangled. Can't remember if it was set 4 or 5 though. The Lednicky thing l;ooked like about as obvious of a lift as I've seen. Right under the up ref.

My bad I didn't make that clear. I was just clarifying the rule change.

December 13Dec 13 I haven't really watched Nebraska yet until now. Damn they're good. Monster kills and crazy good defense.

December 13Dec 13 Author aggy’s block against Corn will be something. Jackson and Cos-Okpalla may be the 2 of the top 3 blockers in the country. At least both top 5 Late game in Austin - ABC wants the #1 seed for a reason

About the only weakness is that their right side isn't dominant. But they have the best middle blocking, most diverse attack, two good to great pins, a really good back row defense, an outstanding setter, and they're one of the best serving teams in the country.

At least both top 5 Late game in Austin - ABC wants the #1 seed for a reason Texas/Wisconsin is probably the biggest premier matchup you could draw up in terms of television ratings that doesn't involve Nebraska. And Nebraska would dwarf that matchup in numbers even if the roles were reversed and Texas/Wisconsin was on ABC with Nebraska on ESPN. The television ratings they pull are astronomical. I believe every person living in Nebraska, everyone who has ever lived in Nebraska, and every person whose parents or grandparents went to Nebraska shifted their identity at some point from the moribund football program to volleyball. Which still only equals about a million people, but they all turn on the TV set when the Cornhuskers play. It appears it's pretty certain we're playing them next year. I'm curious what the venue ends up being.

December 13Dec 13 Kentucky sweeps. Never in doubt. They are not an attractive team. Woof Edited December 13Dec 13 by TonyTexas
December 13Dec 13 Creighton's team of Cornhusker rejects never stood a chance. This will be Kentuckys 2nd trip to the final 4 in program history. The only other time they went to the final 4, they won the whole thing

December 14Dec 14 It would help Stafford with her NPOY campaign if Pitt were to lose this match. That said, I do not believe they're going to lose this match. I'm assuming Kentucky's two head to head wins will help Hudson over Stafford if (when) Texas wins tomorrow. Just like it did for conference awards. Also, it's an elimination contest for Stafford/Colyer. I truly feel like we can beat Kentucky. Just need to get there. No "it's so hard to beat a good team 3 times" bullshit. I just think we can beat them. I feel like we're all living in Nebraska's world this volleyball season.
