Anyone got a line from Vegas yet?

Someone else said this, but a win or a loss wouldn't surprise me.  What would surprise me is a win in which our offense and defense each play on an above-average level.

Y’all bunch of idiots...Herman and Beck are saving all their touchdown plays for USC, TCU and OU!  Buckle up Buckaroos!!!

not yet, a few other games are missing too such as Houston/TxTech.  Usually this is due key injuries and unknown starters.

And in Texas' case, completely baffling performances over the first two games.

someone said it's the USC QB injury situation perhaps.

No line yet - are they waiting for USC to confirm who is starting at QB?

JT Daniels looked god-awful.

Stanford was pressuring him.  He won't have that problem against us.

Is he better than Tulsa's QB?

But we will apply peer pressure.

I didn't see anything from either team that puts the fear in me. Fuck 'em.

This is so sad lmao. All of us know USC sucks, but so do we. A loss wouldn’t surprise any of us.

We *should* beat them, which means Texas beats a ranked team ( lolz) but they may not even be bowl eligible this year. Herman’s ego will be riding high after beating a “ranked team”. Gary will bring Herman and his ego back to earth the following week.

He did not look like it against Stanford.

USC gave up 308 yards rushing to UNLV, and 159 yards rushing to Stanford.

Herman needs to run Ingram, Watson, Young, and Ehlinger - eat up the clock and give USC as few possessions as possible.

They're waiting to find out what classic book we're reading this week.

So we are going to throw 75%. Thanks, Beck

I'd imagine this week's book is The Iliad.

Meaning we line up with an empty backfield and 5 wide.  Cuz Mensa....

Penalties and turnovers are killing us right now, again. With our ball control offensive approach, we have to stop getting behind the chains.  Down and distance is key for our cap gun of an offense, given the lack of big play ability at the QB position. We simply dont have the luxury to absorb false starts, drops and fumbles.  What I see is we have to be damn near perfect to sustain drives, and that's a shame.  All of those things happen to every team, but our margain for error is so small. Why did Brewer not get benched after his two mistakes, not even one play.  Take a program with a high degree of accountability and he would have taken a seat for a drive or two.

Think about it- Jermichael Finley down the middle bc of weak LBs

The only person who stopped that play was Greg Davis.

Texas vs. USC pt 3 is going to be epic. A classic. Haven’t you dip shits seen the Fox promo?

Really looking forward to this week’s lecture. By the way, anybody get notes from last week’s class? Too hungover to make it.

The girl and the mouse die.

USC is terrible against the run.  Beck will know this.  However, he will also know that USC knows their own weakness and  he will anticipate that USC will load the box to cover their weakness, thus leaving the pass less well-defended.  So we will come in committed to the pass and then abandon the run game entirely once we inevitably fall behind.

Our defense will be ok for a bit and then inexplicably suffer a few break downs.  Either that our we'll open the game letting them score on the first three drives before tightening things up.

That's just the way we roll... Poor planning and execution on offense and a few key lapses on defense.

You fell victim to one of the classic blunders!  The most famous of which is "never get involved in a land war in Asia" - but only slightly less well-known is never run the ball against a team with notoriously poor rushing defense!

I think this guy exactly characterizes our offense under Herman/Beck so far.

Dude, I have to fly in for this shit, again. Take it like a man, a beta cuck bottom bitch sorta man. Just lean in and let them push your shit it. Come on, it'll be fun for everyone.

You don’t “have to” unless your a pussy

If Jessica Alba offered a "hand", would one also expect to only be moderately happy..?

I have lived through some crappy seasons watching college football, sometimes the blue bloods go through growing pains, but you never become apathetic (if possible)...

Texas opened at 3.5 point favorites with no O/U yet.

The TCU game is going to be so fucking bad. So fucking bad.

Worse than 50-0?

We can beat USC. We can't beat TCU, but might keep it closer than you might expect. OU is going to be ugly.

This is accurate. USC is just not a very good team. TCU on the other hand is. Their offense is not as good as it has been the last couple of years, so there's a decent chance it is not the absolute skullfucking that everyone around here assumes it will be.  Hell, there will probably be some people calling it a moral victory to hang close to TCU.

Still won't mean jack, of course, because even if this team manages to play its "A" game this week and next, they'll still fuck up not just against OU, but likely a half dozen other upcoming opponents as well.

do you trust Sam Ehlinger with a wet football?  The USC Off is struggling but their defense contained a good Stanford Offense to a low score. UT isn't going to score much in the rain and UT's dbs will be slipping / confused. Maybe USC is a lock .
