Man.  He didn’t look good during that last show.

At least he brought a little more attention to Parkinsons & helped the Birmingham hospital. RIP legend.

Rip man. Gotta figure he got the most he could have out of his 76 years.

I have a vivid recall of the first time I heard Black Sabbath. It was the fall of 1970 and my buddies and I were camping on a Friday night. One of them had an a track tape of Black Sabbath’s first album and he cranked it up and played the whole thing.  We weren’t sure exactly what we were listening to, but we knew we liked it.  RIP Ozzy.

Good grief I was such a Sabbath/Early Ozzy fan.

Not gonna lie, Sabbath was never super high on my radar, but damn if "War Pigs" isn't a top 5 rock song of all time.  RIP, Mr. Osbourne.

This is a tough one for me as I was a big Ozzy fan back in the day. RIP Ozzy!

His memoir, I Am Ozzy, is one of the best and funniest books I've ever read, and I'll recommend it to anyone.

Paranoid was the first song I ever played live with a band.

RIP Madman.

one of kind and admittedly imperfect.  One hellova showman and frontman.

Not gonna lie, it's pretty awesome that they threw him a helluva goodbye concert and he left right after.

Godspeed, Metal GOAT!

OZZY OSBOURNE - "Shot In The Dark" 1989 (Live Video) - YouTube

Wow! Ozzy was such a big part of my teen years, this one hits hard.

Lucky enough to see Ozzy in concert.  Want to say he probably played a two and a half hour set.

Not one of his best, but this one really hits today as well...

Well fuck. Not a big surprise but it does hit hard. Absolute legend and if you’re a young metal fan you might not even know how much the world owes to Black Sabbath.

I had that friend with an older brother with all the cool music when I was in junior high, and I remember listening to Black Sabbath in a car one night and being a little scared and very excited.

Saw Ozzy once at Ozzfest right after No More Tears, and then again several years ago at one of the big rock fests. Man he had an iconic stable of guitarists, including this guy that I decided to blast first:

The tributes from the rock and metal world will be legion. I bet Zakk is inconsolable.

Not at all surprising, but still a loss.  I am glad he got that last show before he went to the great gig in the sky.

Fair thee well, Ozzy. No more tears is way up there on my all-time list.

Live music  is not my first choice for hearing the best performance but this version of War Pigs back in 1970 is unreal. Everyone is killing it, especially Bill Ward, and the audio quality is terrific.

RIP Oz

i celebrate his entire catalogue. i've even come around on those solo albums.

read his book earlier this year and was surprised to learn that he didn't write any of the sabbath lyrics.

I believe Geezer did if I’m not mistaken.

Still on steady rotation in my gym list. Brother was a huge Sabbath fan so went to bed on top bunk many nights with him spinning some BS LPs. RIP Ozzy. You were a major part of the soundtrack of my early teens.

correct

I first learned of Ozzy in junior high. We were all talking in the football locker room about how bad ass and hard AC/DC was.

Buddy brought in his older brother’s tape of Blizzard. He said fuck AC/DC, you wanna hear hard, listen to this. And pressed play on I Don’t Know. Holy shit.

Seminal music moment for me. There were a couple that changed me forever. That was def one.

As noted not unexpected but still totally sucks.  Glad I got to see him with Sabbath at an Ozzfest years back.  RIP.
