LMAO the Texans offense is dogshit and so is the playcalling.

Yeah wtf. Texans are winning on the back of their defense and doing barely just enough on offense. But the offense is still garbage

No. I may still be high though. lol. 😂 but not drinking. But i see your point. But they are winning. 🥇

Lot of angry people in NY this morning because the Bills lost last night.  Sweet

Nicole is right - DeMeco gave up defensive play calling duties to Burke after 2 or 3 games this year, and the results have been way better.

The offensive play calling last night was fine. There was poor some execution. 2 dropped passes, specifically Kirk's TD, 2 underthrown balls by Mills that would have been TDs, and at least 1 other pass where he missed a wide open receiver. But to his credit, he avoided getting sacked and turning the ball over.

No she’s not. She said that Demeco giving up play calling duties made the offense start rolling.

That had fuck-all to do with the offense.

2nd half playcalling by Caley was atrocious and he should be fired for it. We only gained 35 yards the entire 2nd half!

The result always clouds people's minds. Texans were one play away from losing a game where the defense gave a superhuman performance.

The only really good thing Davis Mills did was not turn the ball over. He missed easy big play throws, particularly in the 1st half. The offense turtled in the 4th and they put everything in the hands of their defense.

It's a good win no doubt, but the conservative offensive approach in crunch time will bite them in the ass sooner than later.

Yes.  Like in the next two games.

Yeah you’re right - I think I subconsciously substituted “team” for “offense”. In any event, the defense has been impeccable since Burke took over the playcalling.

Poor taste old man.

I'm down with your passion for H-town teams, Macklemore, but these uniforms are hideous. The red of helmet doesn't match the other reds, the horns are some retarded bull version of the Vikings. I used to like Battle Red games. Maybe it's just the helmet that ruins it?

The H-town alternate is fine (not sure they the base color is closer to black than navy), but it's inevitable they will have a jersey that is "H-town blue" (not to be legally confused with Columbia blue). McNairs should quit being pussies and just pull the trigger, and introduce the white helmet alternate at the same time.

Being able to just bring 4 makes a DC's life a lot easier. This is a damn good DL.

Whole defense

More INTs than passing TDs allowed.

Was this the first game Trent Brown has been active? The dude can absolutely move for being 380 pounds. I really don't understand Caley at all. It's like once we scored that TD right before half, his entire thought process for the 2H was, "I'm good."

Absolutely horrible unis.

And it stands out even worse next to the Bills clean ass unis.

Yeah, I agree with you regarding the defense. They’ve been incredible lately.

They should just start using the Oilers name, logo, and uniforms. If they get sued, take it to a jury trial, and say, “Yes this is copyright infringement. But which uniform do you want to see every weekend? And which one do you want to never see again?”

An Oilers franchise in Houston is worth $2 billion more than a Texans franchise in Houston, just some calculations off a cocktail napkin.

the oilers logo and colors are never coming back. beat their ass yearly, stack tittles

If I was owner for a day I’d make a bet with Tennessee that if Texans win they get the Oilers unis, lose then you can make up some shitty brown and pink unis that the Texans will wear in perpetuity.

We need to get out of blitz schemes and any man scheme on 3rd/4th and long. Play 2 high zone with all eyes back on the qb and let our monster front go to work.

We gave up multiple 3rd/4th and extremely long yesterday that definitely could have altered the game and most definitely flipped field position significantly.

The Texans usual home uni of Deep Steel Blue jersey with white pants and their road white jersey with blue pants are very clean. The Battle Red unis are unique, the candy color red helmets are a nod to the local slab culture and the horns on the helmet were an alternative helmet that the vast majority of fans were wanting per the focus groups. The new unis aren’t plain and generic like our old ones and most of our fans are very happy with the change. The Rockets have the worst unis in town and desperately need an entire brand refresh

No

They should just use any light blue and license the color for a flat fee from some small time high school football program and then highlight it with their current dark blue. Isn’t Pearland light blue?

For some reasons the Texans started to use that hideous Olde English looking font for the "H" and stuff inside the stadium. The fuck is that about, that shit should be on a can of bottom shelf malt liquor.

The Texans defense plays with so much violence. Like, it's almost hard to watch because they are trying to kill people out there every week.

Almost hard to watch? Nah, I want to see our D straight up impale some opponents.

Also, the Strahan/JPP/Tuck New York Giants are the recent blueprint for going all the way by riding a defense that could wreak havoc rushing only 4. I want to believe.

Demeco deserves heat for hiring ANOTHER 1st time play caller. I wanted Chip Kelly. He also owns the undisciplined, stupid penalties this team seems to always get at the worst possible times. Caserio will be fired before Demeco IMO, still Demeco’s seat should be feeling the burn.

Kelly would have been a home run hire considering his NFL head coaching experience and their previous relationship as DeMeco played for Kelly in Philadelphia.

Chiefs maybe started to figure it out today. Play really good defense, pound the rock with Hunt until the WRs start running open.

Need to beat the Colts in the road.

Pearland is maroon of all things.

Honest question.

Is something else going on with CJ, other than “Concussion Protocol?”

It may be frowned upon, but yeah beating them in the road with various melee instruments would make the game inside the stadium much easier.

I'm concerned about CJ long term. Multi-week concussion absences in 2 of his 3 seasons. Not great. Put him in the fat head helmet if you have to.

Yeah I’m team let him play out his rookie deal and revaluate after year 5. I doubt he’d hold out, but we’ll cross that bridge if it comes up. We love you CJ, but we’re not sure about your durability isn’t going to hurt anybody’s feelings.

They won’t draft early enough in the draft and they don’t have enough picks to move up in a big way, so they’re stuck for the next couple years.

We got some good results last night. Just win on Sunday.

Here’s this shit again.

Sigh. Same red zone problems. Can’t even line up correctly. No running game.

I saw two times where CJ could’ve run it in easily.  Damn.
