Hopefully, the OL does better as fall camp progresses. At least they're cutting their teeth against a legit front seven.

Good stuff. Hoping Niblett and Butler make some noise this season and showcase their speed on the field.

Yeah the weird thing about scrimmage is well, who is actually good. Yes, we know that our front 7 is really, really good, but is our OL just dealing with a great front 7 or...

Never ending question mark

Defenses are almost always ahead of offenses in camp and the first games of the season every year for most teams at every level.. I like what I’m hearing thus far and expect the offense to take off once we get to the season.

The only Front 7's we'll see comparable to ours this year is tOSU and maybe UGA

OTF is saying wait and see on Brooks. Information will have to come from the SID. Super awesome.

Where did they say this? The only I saw is that Monroe was told from people in the program that all injuries today are minor in nature, as of 4pm.

Burton announced more recently that Emaree Winston is out for a long while due to a shoulder injury but that it happened prior to the scrimmage.

Podcast recapping the scrimmage.

I'm aware. I was referring more to determining the progress or lack thereof for Texas OL being hard to determine.

I forgot which 9.95 site mentioned it but it sounds like Goosby only played a handful of series before being shut down. Same with Hill and Simmons on defense.

Throwing out those young tackles without Goosby against our edge room would cause a lot of issues.

I can confirm that you’ve accidentally framed their view as much more concerning than it is.

Bobby/Vogel gave an update on their livestream, 30 min ago.

- heard some positives;  left field under his own power; no boot brace or crutch.  "Sounds like it's not the worst case."  Sounds like it's on the optimistic, positive side.

Bobby - "you don't let guys leave without crutches if you think it might be an ACL."  Then said "I'm told he was carted in, but came back later."

Cole Brevard - right back in to finish scrimmage.

Winston - expected out for a couple of months.  What they've heard behind the scenes. (Texas has not confirmed.)

Mosley - held out for an ankle, they believe;  don't think it's anything major.

Lockett played w/ the first group.

CJ Baxter took the first handoff - ! - word is CJ Baxter may contribute more than expected.  Yay!

Baxter and Wisner rotated with the ones.  (Wisner looked more filled out ... )

Christian Clark provided a real spark ... may end up being RB3 (chatter behind the scenes).  May end up being the out of the backfield threat.  Vogel thinks he's the most sure-handed.

Endries/Shannon started at TE; Washington also played with the ones.

(Sucks about Winston - the OTF guys were super high on him.)

Hope so. Gerry called it a lower leg injury.

@closetojumpinglet me know when you want the jersey

Wingo and Livingstone were Manning’s two favorite targets on the day.

Would anybody be surprised if Arch and  Alan Jackson Jr had a strong rapport and chemistry? All of Brady’s favorites were coaches on the field.

Well Arch is a Manning and Livingstone is a white receiver. So maybe Livingstone’s job is to catch all the hospital balls over the middle and take the hits while not eating into the NIL cap space like Austin Collie did for Peyton.

Fortunately for us the women age much better.

If you say so. I’ve been to Australia several times. During my last Brisbane visit, my friend couldn’t believe all the gorgeous women. I replied, “Have you seen any you believe are over 30?”  Our mission to find one that evening was unsuccessful.

In my opinion, they hit a very solid wall, at high speed, in their late 20s.

No team doc is going to let a potential ACL tear walk around unbraced or without crutches. Not without first getting their reply to the state board and their checkbook handy.

It's worth mentioning that "it's worth mentioning" is a worthless thing to say.

If you read the piece you'll see how terribly and uselessly the phrase was used, and thus worth mocking. Don't be lazy.

We have a lot more of these before kickoff guys. This is how it is every year. For every team. Every practice report makes the team you root for look like world beaters with vague statements on how amazing everyone looks.

The difference is this year I don't have to read the practice reports. This is the best I've felt about a team entering the season outside of 2005 and 1983. I don't know how well we'll do. Maybe my heart gets broken. That's okay. I'd rather have a muffed punt, an interception dribble through a DBs hands followed by a TD catch by a dominant WR, an injury to the starting QB when it looks like we're the better team, etc. over the drivel we all put up with from 2010 to 2022. All of this is fun to me.

Heck, making fun of the practice reports is fun. I'm so excited about this season I can't stand it. It all feels like heroin being injected into my veins. August 30 can't get here fast enough.

I've been informed by the most trusted source that the offense didn't do shit....

Outside of a big Ryan Wingo touchdown from Arch Manning, the Texas offense struggled to move the ball during the scrimmage Reportedly the O-Line is struggling vs the D-Line.“The team is really being challenged by the defense”(via @AlexDunlapNFL)

Yet Wingo had 2 TDs, Livingstone several longer receptions, Wisner had some good runs, the TEs caught some balls and looked like the best group.  Baxter was somehow getting a goalline carry.  McC had a TD but presumably from Caldwell.

Goosby didn’t play much but neither did some other guys.  RT is banged up.

So I was told.

Now if the first team O had 2/3 TDs presumably in what a half of football.  Maybe more than that but I’d think not 11 or 12 possessions like a full game.  Familiarity works to the Ds advantage.  Maybe that’s not terrible.

McCutcheon’s TD was from Lacey, not Caldwell. Owens had a better day than Caldwell.

Sounds like we’re about to see many off schedule QB runs until the O gets settled.

We should all be prepared for a shit offense week 1 in the shoe.  Likely (no surprise) to be an ugly slugfest
