Is that the new term for docking, or would that be beef-tips?

Today starts the turnaround and championship campaign.

Wisner comes back and proves he’s the guy. Baxter looks good. Arch completes a pass to a brotha for a TD.

People continue to talk shit but we all see how good this team can be.

Texas rolls 52-6

Texas just needed a night game to get clicking on all cylinders.

I don’t know why. They’re both fucking the team. I would understand if the defensive coaches were pissed.

Personnel decisions? OL performance?

I could see a scenario where Sark is overriding Flood for players playing time on the OL.

That's actually encouraging. I would hope Sark is pissed that the Oline is soft and poorly coached.

This seems more likely considering that CTJ has said it’s the Sark/banks show regarding the team, but that could just be in recruiting.

Just speculation, but maybe Sark's new kid is having trouble sleeping through the night, and Sark and Loreal have an agreement where they alternate which parent has to get up in the middle of the night. Maybe Flood thinks that Sark HAS to time this out where he's never the one getting up in the middle of the night before a game given the importance of sleep. And then maybe Sark quietly agrees with Flood, but Sark thinks that Flood isn't taking into context the larger husband/wife relationship dynamic where one has to allow the partner to COME TO THEM with a fair solution. So he agrees with Flood but still thinks it's not Flood's place to interject in another man's marriage. Maybe I'm reading too much between the lines...

Occam’s razor.   Sark wants orange pants for our higher profile games.  Flood doesn’t.

So when is the bank foreclosing on your house? Has anybody ever made money betting the Bear’s picks?

Jeff Howe suggest this should be the line up for OL moving forward

Goosby - Hutson - Robertson - Campbell - Baker

I tend to agree especially with their refusal to play Neto over Stroh. It also gets Hutson out of center where he’s complete ass and of course takes the worst linemen I’ve seen at Texas out of the lineup.

That is the exact score the usher in our section predicted when I passed by him before the game. Was that you?

I need to watch it again sober, but I thought Robertson at center was not a downgrade from Hutson. So if Hutson > Stroh, then yeah do it.

The perspective and value on this work is solid.  Not many can walk around with the Last Supper on their head. Has to be an expensive cut, since it requires an artist with both hair and draftsman. I'd probably just settle for a t-shirt though.

God damn stroh is awful. Watching him yesterday I wonder how he’s ever started for any organized football team beyond pop warner.  Surely there’s someone on campus with a pulse that can be slightly better

pure speculation but I wonder if niblett gets more run on offense opening the return duties up for a healthy Jonah Williams

Finally was able to watch the game this morning. I was worried at first because Robertson really struggled at center to start. Thankfully it was the mental/assignment variety as opposed to not being strong enough or having two left feet like Stroh. Robertson actually played pretty well after about midway through the first quarter. I think Hutson has to play guard just to get Stroh out of the lineup.

The Stroh thing is so weird. I mean if I were a conspiracy theory nut I would wonder either what dirt the Strohs have on Flood or exactly how well Flood knows their family. He's that bad.

until we look half as good in league play as we looked last night, we haven't looked half as good in league play as we looked last night

Right tackle was a sea of mediocrity for years here. But Hughes and some other guys would go whole games without laying a hand on pass rushers in obvious passing situations.

I'd be surprised if we didn't see that happen. But, I'm pretty fucking surprised to see Stroh playing every meaningful snap right now, so who knows.

There is no way Schloss lets Jonah return kicks lmfao.

Niblett looks good back there - I wouldn't fix what isn't broken.

You think the baseball coach dictates to a football coach where he can and can't play on the football field?

  • Popular Post

Listened to the Sunday Sirius XM show this AM driving back to Dallas.  Not much horns talk obviously but they didn't give Arch or the horns much credit for the blowout given the opponent which is fair.  But then went on to say how Texas will be fortunate to win one of their next 2.  Talked about how Florida is really solid on D and will be tough for us to score in the Swamp.  Then talked about how much better OU and Mateer is offensively than Texas is and how OU should be favored.  I don't take exception to any of those points independently.  But they did not say a single word about the Texas defense.  It's kind of amazing how from the national perspective the only story is Arch and our offense (and we've pretty much been written off given the struggles) and everyone has somehow forgotten we have an elite defense.

YOU think that a cross-sport athlete at Texas doesn't have his coaches talking to each other? Really? Jonah probably starts next year for Schloss - no one needs him returning kicks.
