After the Wyoming game in 2023 when he fumbled as we were trying to run out the clock, I said something to the effect of he will never play another meaningful down here.

In my defense, he was like 4th on the depth chart at that time and if Brooks doesn’t get hurt, Blue probably stays glued to the bench and storms off to UH or wherever after the season.

I'm just surprised anyone would actually care that you said that. Are you sure they do? Is it brought up in conversations by anyone other than you? Did you say this to @Derka?

I’ll tread lightly on my RB takes after my infamous “Jaydon Blue will never get another meaningful carry here” statement from 2 years ago, but it sure seems like Gibson is getting buried on the depth chart.

Will be interesting to see play out because we have 6 scholarship RB’s, all juniors or younger, and there is no chance all 6 of them are on the roster in 2026.

Gerry said his skill set is limited and he’s not a great fit for the offense before. I think we’re seeing that in fall camp.

Sort of like how Gibson is like 4th on the depth chart at this time?

I’m not sure how old you are man, but at some point box jumps become risky regarding injury and the returns versus step up’s just aren’t with it, imo. I hope you’re at least stepping down.

Alright, listen up, y’all! This is "Baby" Billy Freeman, comin’ at ya with that fire and brimstone energy, and let me tell ya, there ain’t nothin’ in this world finer than the Southeastern Conference! The SEC, bless its heart, is the promised land of college football, where the gridiron’s hotter than a South Carolina summer and the tailgates are a sanctified celebration of pigskin glory! From the rollin’ tide in Alabama to them dawgs barkin’ in Georgia, every snap’s a sermon, every touchdown’s a miracle! Now, there are many legends of the SEC. You heard the legend of two Aggies touchin’ dicks in the bathroom at Kyle Field, but that ain’t the important  part of this story—It's about you's Texas Longhorns joinin’ the fold; them other SEC nerds can’t even see solid gold when I’m shittin’ it right in front of them, but yall boys are ready to drop nuggets of pure victory now that you's in the SEC promised land!

Speakin’ of which, come August 30th, when you's Longhorns march into that heathen den up in Columbus to face off against them godforsaken Ohio State Buckeyes, oh, I hate them Buckeyes more than the devil hates a Sunday sermon—they’re a bunch of northern sinners thinkin’ they can tango with SEC fire, but they’ll get smote like Goliath!

And y’all, ol’ Baby Billy’s got a plan to turn this holy war into heavenly profit: I’m launchin’ the “Baby Billy Buckeye Buster Prayer Hotline,” where for just a faithful donation of $29.99, I’ll personally pray over your phone line for Texas to crush ‘em, and if the Lord delivers that win, you’ll feel the blessings multiply in your wallet like loaves and fishes! Plus, I’m sellin’ limited-edition blessed Longhorn talismans—wear one, and not only does it ward off Buckeye evil, but it’ll attract good fortune, maybe even inspire you to place a little wager on the side, knowin’ the good Lord’s on our team! All proceeds be going to Mack Browns girdle.

Y’all better get right with the SEC, ‘cause this here’s where legends are born, and we don’t just play football—we live it, breathe it, and praise it like a hallelujah chorus! Go SEC, and may the good Lord bless em ya good!

Would be shocked if Sark doesn't have 4 or so guys on the staff assigned to 9.95 duty to tell them exactly what Sark wants them to hear. Why wouldn't he do that? It's the perfect way to control the message while also keeping the program leeches happy.

Not that everything they get told is false. Just that they get exactly what Sark wants them to get. Can use them to be either the carrot or the stick to certain players. Players like Butler and Owens seem to be getting the stick right now while players like Livingstone and McCutcheon have been presented with the carrot. Sark knows many of the player's parents and family members sub to those things or watch the YouTube videos, so the players will hear about it.

They’re saying different things about the star position also. IT acts like McDonald is playing more at that position with Littleton backing up but Bobby keeps talking about Taaffe there. I’m hoping IT is right, I’m not sure Taaffe needs to be at a position where a 1 on 1 matchup can be manipulated with a slot.

Here’s a summer 2025 story y’all might enjoy from deep in the heart of SEC Tennessee country.

So a longtime friend (with benefits, no pics, UT alum) asked if I would ride with her from DC to Tucson, where she was spending a few weeks taking care of aging mom.

So one night we crashed in Knoxville. Next morning, we were on the road pretty early and we stopped in a Starbucks in the bumfuck outskirts of Knoxville.

We decided to order inside and use the rest rooms. The only customers in the place were two old pot-bellied codgers (probably in their 70s), both decked in Volunteer tee shirts and caps. I am just wearing jeans and cotton shirt, nothing to connect me with any school. I could not resist, so I said:

“Y’all gonna let them Longhorns take over the SEC”

Tennessee Codger 1: Takes off his Vol cap, rubs his balding crown, and merely takes a breath shakes his head.

Tennessee Codger 2: “Yeah, it was a big mistake to let them in the SEC” … said with scowl on face.

Me: “Yep, they’re gonna kick butt this year. They ain't like the Aggies”

Codger 2: "No shit they ain't the Aggies!"

I amble over and grab the two coffees and banana bread.

About this time, my friend emerges from bathroom and as we walk out the door, she flashes the HOOK'EM sign and laughs. (Looking rather smoke in her tight jeans and boots)

Codger 1: “What the hell?”

Codger 2: “Them God Damn Longhorns!”

To quote T'Vondre, "We gon' run it".

Yep. OTF is talking like Taaffe has wrapped that up going to OSU, and IT said a couple of days ago that Taaffe isn't getting reps at star.

So Sark recruited a running back with limited skills who doesn't fit our offense?

This will be interesting to see in 2 weeks.

The other thing I'm looking to see is how much 12 personnel we run. According to the 9.95ers the offense was in 12 for the majority of both scrimmages. That seems odd to me, and something that Sark might be feeding them to get that message out to OSU. If we come out and go 80 percent 11 or even 21 at times it'll be clear they were giving some false info to hide what they want to do.

As long as they give the 9.95ers some true nuggets every now and then they can tell them anything. Those sites aren't going to complain or make noise. They're going to report what they're told and the subscribers will keep eating it up.

I don’t think the staff purposely fucks with $9.95ers who put in work and share information. Two way street.

Sometimes, the “billfromlaketravis filter” simply has to be applied.

I don’t understand. Gerry said it in a podcast. Why is this a controversial?

Gerry and Bobby were answering questions at the end of the podcast. A Gibson playing time question was asked in the chat, and Gerry answered it.

He said something like Gibson is a one cut back, and guys in front of him on the depth chart are better fits for what Texas wants to do on offense.

A middling Sunbelt QB with a few weeks experience in Sark’s system is #2 on the depth chart and outplaying the other backups by a wide margin per $9.95ers. Not to be ‘that guy’ but that seems like the sort of off-season red flag we would be trolling aggy / OU mercilessly about.

A fifth year senior with starting experience is running ahead of a redshirt freshman?  I’m shocked

True, but jumping from playing with and against DII level competition to against the best competition in the sport at the college level is a big jump. Hopefully we never have to see a single snap from this dude in any game that isn't a blowout.

It's all good. I'm not changing, so people can react to me however they're going to. I find all of it entertaining. I write really long posts that aren't for everyone, so I feel like taking shots at me for it is very legitimate.

What I'm getting a huge kick out of is doing the same kind of thing on SEC Rant. I mean, I'm an oddball with my long posts on here, but at least there are people who have known me for a long time who know that's what you're going to get with me. Over there I might as well be taking a huge dump in the middle of the dinner table.

It appears Wisner and Baxter have a lock on 1st team. Both are dependable options. Baxter is probably the best RB on the roster without the ball in his hands. Based upon on camp reports it sounds like Clark is the most explosive and elusive RB on the roster. Might just be camp BS, but if reports are legit he is going to be a bigger part of the offense than most believe. Just sounds like a healthy Clark (can’t believe he recovered so fast) was always the best RB in that recruiting class. If Simons jumps ahead of Gibson this year, there is 0 chance he isn’t in the portal

I'm doing a rewatch of the 2024 season, as I am wont to do prior to the season starting. I have hot takes.

- The RB injuries in August cost us a national championship. We still had talent there, but the tread was off Wisner's tires by January, and Blue would look like Reggie Bush one game and then take the next month off.

- If Neto isn't an improvement over Hayden Conner then we really should have gone to the portal there if he's our best option.

- We will be very much improved at the QB position.

- WR might be improved overall from what we had out there at the end of the year. Hilariously, it might depend on Jaggerson if Mosley is out for awhile.

Someone's gotta be 4th string. I don't get the handwringing. We are in a MUCH better situation at RB this year compared to last. Some good players on a stacked roster will probably transfer out next year. I'm gruntled to have this "problem".

Some of y'all are probably confusing this with your 4th string cheese.

Maybe. Maybe Baxter and Wisner go pro after this season. Given our injury issues the last few seasons, it's not out of the question the 4th and 5th string rbs get significant snaps.
