September 9, 20187 yr Not really, but still. Haven't voted since 2014 and figured I should start participating again. My voter status is "suspense" because I have an outdated address. From what I understand, I can still vote I just need to bring a statement of residence to the polls. Of course, my DL address does not match where I currently live. Can I put a different address from my drivers license on the SOR and still be good to go? Or can I just bring a utility bill or something instead of the SOR to the polls and vote that way? Google and the voter registration site have been of minimal help.
September 9, 20187 yr Author Should specify that I still live in the same county that I was originally registered in.
September 9, 20187 yr Your life would be made easier by updating our address on your TXDL. While you're there on the site, register to vote under that new address.

I think I should be good on that front. The reason I don’t update my DL is because I move around a lot, but it sounds like it’s probably worth doing it now for simplicity’s sake.
September 9, 20187 yr Not to mention if you get a traffic ticket the police officer might hassle you extra for having the wrong address on your DL. I didn't realize "Helobious" was a hispanic name, next time I meet someone by that name I'll be sure to apply the correct stereotypes.
