September 28Sep 28 Oh I totally agree with you that everyone should be playing under one roof. Rahm cashing checks then showing up four times a year to play decent golf and spinning a Ryder Cup domination creates one confusing legacy for a guy who could be an all timer
September 28Sep 28 And yes. Keegan should be skewered on the shit he can actually control. He ultimately had 23 decisions (6 picks, 16 pairings, 1 singles order) and has fucked up at least half of them
September 28Sep 28 American golf is in bad shape right now outside of Scottie. BDC and Xander are probably the next two guys. After that, things get ugly and murky. Morikawa and Koepka have faded, Spieth and DJ are cooked, JT is wildly inconsistent. Lots of guys have flashed but not found consistency. No young guns showings serious potential yet. It sucks.

What we need is an extremely visible and wildly popular guy who has an oversized social media reach to try and cater the game towards fans and amateurs and beginner players and kids in hopes of sparking the next generation of golf in America. Oh. Wait.
September 28Sep 28 Sorry. I'm not trying to be a cunt. All of the bullshit I've had to read the last couple days has gotten to me a bit. I think US golf is fine. We swept the majors a year ago. This was a really poor showing for myriad reasons. The goal now is to take some notes and learn from mistakes and go steal one in '27 for the first time in 34 years. September 28Sep 28 A Scottie, Xander, BDC, Cantlay, Cam, JT, Morikawa core is still relatively young and, if in decent form, going to be competitive in this event for the foreseeable future. Xander had a significant injury (and then just had a kid) which turned this year into a lost one, JT hasn’t been right in two years but showed flashes in the spring, and Morikawa is wildly talented but went off the damn rails for whatever reason this season. That’s half the team, so I don’t think it’s dire. But I agree the secondary guys are a big question mark right now. Spaun seems like he can hang and then contribute for another cycle. But those last four spots are totally up for grabs in ‘27.
September 28Sep 28 So who will they choose as the Nicklaus Jacklin award recipient? Does JT earn it by spending half his time trying to quiet the American crowds to no avail? Of course the other half of the time he's trying to hype them up when his partner's nailed a putt to bail their ass out. Maybe they give it to Rory simply for having to put up with the disgraceful actions of the American "fans" all weekend long. After reading the article from Golf Digest that @4th&Five linked not only does he deserve it, but if he took his driver upside the skull of one of those assholes I'd raise a pint glass to him. Or here's a thought: once Europe earns 2.5 points to get them to 14--which they could do by the 4th match--Luke Donald could instruct his team to concede every remaining match. Europe retains the Cup at 14 - 14 1/2, the Americans have to eat a plate of shit knowing that they were gifted twice the points they earned to prevent an ass whipping for the record books, and Luke gets the sportsmanship award.
September 28Sep 28 When I make my next birdie I’m doing a Rory to my partners. “Fuck you, fuck you and fuck you”Should be epic

Yesterday I was thinking that Euros may take their foot off the gas once the clinched. But after our antics and with the MOV record within reach, I think they might be out for blood. 8 points to get to 19.5 with what looks like pretty big advantages in the following: Fleetwood vs Thomas McIlroy vs Scheffler (and I bet Rory is VERY motivated to hang 0-5 on world #1) Rahm vs Schauffle Lowry vs Henley Hojgaard vs Griffin Hatton vs Morikawa MacIntyre vs Burns Hovland vs Harris (depending on Hovland's injury) What US player would you bet on in any of those matches?

If I squint, only Harris. And that's only due to Hovland being injured. And as funny as it is to imagine the Euros conceding so they can get the celebration started early, I think they're going to enjoy drubbing the shit out of the US. Force the shitty American fans to listen to the Ole chants all afternoon long.

Plus the fact that the match is already over means they've got 5+ hours of air to fill so they've gotta try and push the "feel good" story during an event that hasn't had any so far. But I guess the simple answer is, your prolapsed rectum.

September 28Sep 28 Author NBC just said USA has to win 9 of 11 matches It's 9.5pts USA still needs dumbass😬

Tony George didn't sponsor murder and terrorism on American soil, and it still slowly destroyed the sport. Edited September 28Sep 28 by Bozo_Casanova

Still need 9.5 points to win. Europe retains in the event of a tie.

September 28Sep 28 Can we bring back golf where pros don't use a 60 degree for everything around the green.
