Correct, pimping losses is pretty aggy but sometimes that is what it comes down to. Kind of like 2008 when it was Texas/Tech/OU. Who had the best/worse loss was being discussed. And this year, Texas lost to #1 Ohio St in I believe the closest game they have played this year by far.

Vandy has nothing over Texas due to head to head. Really wish Texas didn't dick around and damn near lose that game. We kicked their ass from opening play but fucked around in the 4th.

We really shouldn't have given up that big catch to OSU.  Offensive woes and all, we outplayed them that game.

Good Lord.

Never change, college football.

Oh but wait

If Mack Rhoades’ leave from Baylor results in a leave from the CFP selection committee - as many expect - the group will be down two members, from the normal 13 members to 11.Committee member Randall McDaniel stepped away for personal reasons last month and was not replaced.

#1661

Oh he is stepping down as chair, so the committee has to pick a new chair, in mid-November, while now down 2 members

The CFP has not determined a new chair of the committee or if it will replace Rhoades.Warde Manuel, last year's chair, is NOT on the committee. https://t.co/8nztkrJuzo

Mack Brown is tan, rested and ready to step in

They need to appoint a couple of SEC honks.

They're going to dig up Barry Switzer and RC Slocum or someone equally biased against us. Just watch.

The Big 12 is recommending Utah AD Mark Harlan to replace Mack Rhoades on the CFP selection committee, sources tell @YahooSports.It’s still unclear who will fill the committee chair role vacated by Rhoades.

Seems like a questionable decision to pick the AD for a bubble team who definitely has an axe to grind with another bubble team (BYU).

Plus isn't this the dude that embarrassed himself pitching a fit after Utah lost to BYU last season?

Don't worry, I believe Miami and Virginia's ADs are also on the committee and a former Ole Miss player.  And they no longer have to recuse themselves when their team is up for discussion

This is going to go so well for a 9-3 Texas......

A message from Utah AD Mark Harlan:

#1677

I mentioned earlier in the thread that a recent interview with Rhoades that I heard on the radio did not make him sound very smart.

I should have said “he sounded like a meathead former player who somehow climbed the ladder in athletics administration”.

Wow. I had forgotten about the end of that game.

The SEC lets the DB’s get pretty handsy with the receivers.  That wouldn’t have been called in the SEC.  Hard to tell from that camera work whether it was an actual hold but it seems shaky.

The problem is this team has not shown shit that it can handle Georgia or aggy. The cockiness is dumb

The pansy attitudes here are mildly surprising. We will dispatch Dawgs Saturday night and will finish 10-2.  Much to Wulaw’s chagrin because he won’t be able to prove his 9-3 theory. We’ll be 6 seed and host. Some of yall need to reattach your balls.

You are correct on all counts. Harlan is a douche. Really don't get it. Alamo Bowl here we come?

It would be insane

And I absolutely see it happening, because the committee loves storylines.  Ratings bonanza.  Ticket sales galore.  Endless media storylines

That would be your absolute dream weekend scenario, wouldn't it

It would be a home game for Tech so only about 60,000 tickets for the first round.

Never said otherwise; it would be a very high demand ticket at exorbitant prices.

No fucking shit the worst case scenario for this weekend would throw a wrench into all this. Brilliant observation.

OU is not going to beat 'bama for Christ's sake.

To be fair, we said that last year, but methinks Bama is going to take them a little bit more seriously this time, at home.
