So who determines it then, astrological signs?

Professional leagues seem to have it figured out. I'm pretty sure college football could figure it out, too.

Some of you just love being miserable. The fucking rankings mean nothing right now.

Would be great if Notre Dame is left out... 😋

I doubt it though

I do when they couldn’t Even play for their conference title game.  There is literally NO rhyme or reason for their rankings. None. Just arbitrary

The ACC needs to unfuck their stupid scheduling and tie breakers. 5 way tie when they don't play each other. Dumbest conference in America.

Man, byu got disrespected more than any team in cfb

It's hypocritical and highly suspect that BAMA with 3 losses and also with a dominant loss gets held to a completely different standard and only because of the conference affiliation and name.   This sport has been ruined.

Bama is going to crash out in round 1. They are extremely overrated this year

Bama losing to Ou again? Doubtful

Lulz, not a popular opinion around here

Nah that’s not the same.  Texas lost 2 tougher games AND won 3 top 10 games as well.  ND and Miami didn’t.

They better match up 1 and 3 and 2 and 4. Georgia and tOSU need to be in the same bracket based on their ranking.

This is all the format and the ACC's fault btw, if the format didn't dictate at least 1 G5 team getting in and the ACC had a single team worth a shit it would have been 1000% better.

Why the hell are they still calling it G5? It's G6 including this "new" Pac-12 which is warmed over dogshit

P4 and G6

Anyone who thinks BYU is better than us, which this committee seems to think is the case, needs to have their head examined.

Pretty sure humans and computers are involved there. You said no human or computer hands involved. How does it work, then? We have a turtle race?

It's a terrible system.

Not one human being or computer should determine who plays in the CFP.

Same system all the other sports use.

Bobby just asked if Miami jumping ND was a “reach-around” to make the ACC happy

Of course it was. Notre Dame has no legs to stand on. They don't want to join a conference like everyone else.

So quarters if seeds hold:

Cotton 12/31, 6:30pm: Tech vs Oregon

Orange 1/1, 11:00am: Ohio State vs A&M

Rose 1/1, 3pm: Indiana vs ou

Sugar 1/1, 7pm: UGA vs Ole Miss

I wouldn't have a big problem with our final slot had the CFP committee stuck to their stated ranking criteria.  They didn't.

Can you fuck off today please. Fucking cunt.

It 1 million fucking percent was.

BYU would have dropped 5 games against Texas' schedule.

This will be the lowest rated CFP in its history.

I don't know about that. I think they'll do just fine.

They only lost 2 games and both were to the same, #4 team. Im fine with people thinking they are better cause they didnt lose to florida

ESPN barely even mentioning Texas. Why did we join this shit conference again?

Go independent tomorrow and play a shit schedule. Fuck the CFP.

Money and recruiting, dumb dumb. And independent Notre Dame just got left out so seems like a dumb idea.

Yup, if we were still in the Mountain West 12 we’d have a first round bye right now.

Are they actually included in the highest ranked conference champion discussion? I genuinely have no idea. It can't be considered a real conference championship right?

The ACC champion isn't in but they get an at large team, what's the point of the playoffs

Don't lose 5 games?

Wait, are people actually mad about Miami making it in over ND?

Recruiting means nothing when you can legally pay players. I like winning.

I’m not complaining, they just should have had Miami ranked over ND before today.

Yeah. You cannot compare college to professional leagues.

That problem is more with the dumbass ways oversized conferences use tie breakers to determine championship game qualifiers. Miami is clearly better than Duke.

I don't think so.

Maybe these talking heads are just slipping. I sometimes forget the 4 west coast teams are in B1G, now, too.

Not particularly.  I'm mad the committee caved to pressure from fucking espn.

Just now, Duane Moore said:

Oh sure. They did it to themselves. I still think it's dumb that Bama didn't drop a spot. At least make them go to aggy.

actually have heard more texas from Kirk and Chris today vs this morning and all day yesterday

It’s really just down to Indiana, Ohio State, and Georgia. I’m not sure anything else matters.

Lol at people saying Miami won't get in.

Itll be Dusty Dvoracek and Sean Mcdonough calling JMU vs Oregon on ESPNU
