Some of you just love being miserable. The fucking rankings mean nothing right now.

Ohio State was #6 in the final CFP rankings just last year.

Behind 3 Boise and 4 ASU.  The point stands

Good. They can pay us for getting out of the game and fund our portal buys. Win win.

im going to enjoy watching miami beat aggy in aggy.

I didn’t expect Miami in over ND but Duke winning probably changed that. Gotta get that ACC team in somehow!

Had Miami and the ACC been left out, I honestly think we would have seen a blizzard of lawsuits and Clemson and F$U leaving the conference.

You just lit that money on fire lol. No way Mateer survives the playoffs throwing 2 ints a game.

I put $500 before the year on em and it pays $37500.  I'll put 3k on bama and next game ML whoever OU plays if they happen to win so I'll guarantee myself at least a few grand.  I know...nobody cares.   But this is shaggy, throw another shitpost on the pile.

Why is Tech ranked in front of Oregon??

Why did all the talking heads say Tech was still in with a loss yesterday.  I honestly don't get it.  Their front 7 seems pretty good but their offense is nothing special.

They won their conference and only had 1 loss?

I'd say the important factor is getting the top 8 correct. Get out much lower than that and you get endless bickering about who had superior losses. If you're microscoping three losses, you don't belong among the elite. Sorry. Shoulda won more games than 9.

All roads end in burning sadness, unfortunately.

Burn it all down.

Makes no sense for Bama to be in after that showing over any number of teams.

3 teams with no head coaches going wtf

Move it to 24 to basically mimic the historic top 24 , remove the humans from this completely

It is as simple as this.  Bama and Miami were out last year. they are in this year.

I don’t quite have your purchasing power.

Honestly good odds unless it is 35+

Has he learned anything from the 3 losses to UGA yet?

All in fun, there will be disappointment eventually but getting in and a home game is a big surprise considering where we were leaving Dallas.

Isn't the ACC guaranteed 1 team in the playoffs? I figured that's why they took Miami, because Duke was the alternative.

Bama vs ND, well we have seen how that matchup goes in the past...

JMU or Tulane are gonna win just to fuck with peoples’ outrage lol.

hes right. The game was scheduled in 2012 when no CFP playoff existed, and BCS OOC sexiniess was encouraged.

oregon got the best draw after IU.

bottom bracket is a buzzsaw

an unbalanced bracket shows even more how stupid this is.  They don't even take SOS into account for that.

I think Oregon got the best draw all things considered.

No. If they didn't take Miami, ACC would have been out absent fucking with the rankings to put Duke over James Madison.

nope.  If Miami had lost to ND the ACC would have had no representative.

You think Notre Dame has a better case to be in than Miami and Bama?

I think they all suck and we are better than all 3 of them.

This shit really happened once upon a time in 1977:

11-1 Notre Dame's 38-10 demolition of previous #1 Texas in the Cotton Bowl vaulted them from #5 to #1 in the final AP poll, passing up 11-1 Alabama despite the Tide whipping Ohio State 35-6 in the Sugar Bowl. We’ll likely lose but . . . we will have the opportunity to advance.

Ole Miss’ new coach looks like he just caught some tasty waves earlier

I think ND will want to keep our games.  They can adjust their schedule around it.

I knew we weren't getting in, so I'm actually pleasantly surprised by the rankings. Bama doesn't deserve to be there, but ND deserves it even less. Stop playing a soft ass schedule and join a fucking conference.

Sure they will. But why would we?

Texas AM beat absolutely no one worth a shit this year. Their schedule is a complete and utter joke. Their best win (Notre Dame) was kicked out of the playoff. And the only other top 15 team they played they lost to.

I think they beat Miami because Miami is equally fraudulent in a way worse conference. Luckily they ain’t getting through OSU and GA

No - the point doesn't stand. The teams that played for the national title last season would have missed the 4 team playoff.

Canes defense goons will play wishbone split with aggy QB in the pileups and that . . .

will be that.

Why risk a loss in the polls that can hurt early and late, but why also risk injury to one of your better players?

They still want the conference championship games, so they didn't allow the loss from playing in them to affect the team that got the shit kicked out of them, along with having no run game. Same with BYU, which ended ranked higher than Texas.

In fact, 1-4 didn't win a single game.
