The Southlake Desoto game was probably the second best game I’ve ever watched. Behind Plano vs Plano East. It was amazing.

I dunno, man.

On the baseball theory, sliding is slower.

Three defenders got there anyway.

Huge chance he downs himself before getting the ball across.

He kind of pussed out.

Or just drop his shoulder and run through contact rather than stopping his feet and turning his shoulder to brace to absorb the contact.

head first ball out front

He needed to stick that right in the ground, get perpendicular to the goalline and sell out with the body lean/dive.  If he cuts there, his forward momentum would have overcome the defender still moving parallel to the goalline, if he didn't outright fly by him.

I got excited for a sec thinking Raycom was back.  Oh well, I'll just watch HSE.

Watching the replay. SLC made a business decision and pussed out. That should have been a TD if he didn’t go vagina on that.  Props to Desoto for laying it all on the line to stop him

bluff he didn’t want it

My mom texted me the SLC DeSoto halftime score so I figured that was going to be a romp.  Pleasantly surprised to see DeSoto come back and win it. They seem to have found another gear once the playoffs started.

For the rest of his, his teammates, and his coaches lives, everyone will remember how much of a gaping pussy he was for slowing down to take the hit. No conviction. That one is going to hurt for a long time.

Raycom Sports still exists.  It's owned by Gray Media and they broadcast college football, NBA and MLB games under various differently named networks across the country.  They used to broadcast both SEC and ACC games as Jefferson Pilot Sports network before ESPN bought up 2nd & 3rd tier rights.

Great photos here....

Great photos, and this is why that ref was so adamant about overruling the TD call. He knows what he saw, good job by him.

in the immediate aftermath of the play when the call initially was TD, Desoto got 2 unsportsmanlike penalties including a DL being ejected for contacting an official. It was absolute chaos on both sides of the field for several minutes while the officials huddled.

North Shore v Duncanville, again.  Just like God intended.

Both teams were flying around. Matchup is so good, dont care how many times theyve played.

Buddy at the Vandy game said the Houston team was faster. $9.95

CE King could make a claim for fastest team in the state.

I just hope our resident jinx picks Duncanville so North Shore can win another state title.  I like both, but NS is the more “local” team.

I’ll own up to being wrong on North Shore. Picked them to miss playoffs, picked against them every round, yeh here they are.

That's a weird ass choice of teams to go against for playoff picks.

Went last year hit Wednesday evening, Thursday, & Friday.  7 games in 2.5 days was a lot of damned football.  It was  sure worth the weekend pass ticket price. Did not attend Saturday because of other obligations.

Not going this year, but will definitely consider going again.  The traditional fan in me hates high school football at JerryWorld, but I appreciate what it means for the athletes to play in that venue. Those are memories of a lifetime.

If you're thinking about it, pull the trigger on going.  You won't regret it.
