Is every final gonna be a blowout?

I’ve been watching for about eight years now. There were a couple of years around 2016 / 2017 that had some good games but more often than not these games are duds. Still great way to spend an extended weekend.

tomorrow and saturday will be damn good

Last year the little schools had the good games. Both 2A games came down to the wire.

I don't think Newton is built for the comeback, with the freshman quarterback, but we will see

Newton RBs ain't used to being tackled.

WR from Wall is really good. Their edge, #48, doesn’t suck either.

type of kids that can go small school, snd maybe blow up / transfer

There will still be multiple blowouts. Just the way it goes when you don’t have true full tournament seeding (for obvious reasons).

Actually the playoff seeding is awesome in Texas High School playoffs. If you are a District Champion, you don't play another DC until the 3rd round.  The 4th round is typically the other best team in your region.

Not sure how else you'd expect it to be, given the size of the state and number of schools.

Rankings are just for fun, exactly as it should be.

Still not sure what a defender is expected to do when a pulling guard is about to light their ass up at the LOS, even if it is outside the tackle box?   Just stand up and let them pancake you?

Going low and creating a pile is the football move.  It's illegal.

Big Mo is with Newton now.  Great play by 22.

Wow.

dat's football. Friendly fire caused fumble

That’s the obvious reason part of why they do it this way.

22 for Newton will light yo ass up.

He's a junior.

I'm guessing we see a return trip to Jerryworld for these dudes given some of the youth.

That's what they needed.

Glimmer of hope for Newton.

Perfect kick.  Wow.

One of those games where it sucks that someone had to lose.

Happy for Wall, but it sucks for Newton too.   Great effort by both teams.

I would have voted for Parker from Newton for offensive MVP. I think that’s #3’s last name.

Oh that's right, Kilgore was the original "He done blocked it"

I think Stephenville is slowly figuring shit out.  They are getting some yards after contact for good runs.

Right now this 7pt Stephenville lead feels like a 3 score game. Both of these defenses are playing great.

You always hate to see a bleach blond team win state but the defense has been impressive.

And for fuck's sake get #71 an undershirt and jersey that fit.

A lot of Stephenville’s studs are juniors too. Likely to see them back next year. Helluva team.

He gone.  No one even close to touching him.

Wasn't sure where to put this but I saw this posted on Facebook.....

Folks, meet Leslie Morriss. She is the mother of Keaton Morriss #66.  If anyone was at last week's South Oak Cliff-Melissa State Semifinals game (I witnessed Keaton's play), you observed #66 commit MULTIPLE dirty plays which eventually led to two unsportsmanlike conduct penalties. Keaton (#66) was ejected in the 4th quarter as South Oak Cliff won 35-17 to advance to the State Championship Game.

Well Leslie had a couple of not so kind words to say about South Oak Cliff football players. While Melissa ISD has yet to address Leslie's comments, her employer Stride Care took action by terminating Leslie's employment.

<Leslie's comments are below for anyone desiring to read them>

She got fired for that?

They should pave a freeway from Carthage to Arlington. Just straight.
