Caleb Cruz (SO) - CB/WR, Odessa Permian: Started every single game on varsity last year at cornerback for Mojo as a freshman. Size will hold him back but he holds an FBS offer already (UTEP).  Â
September 6Sep 6 Longview doesn’t seem to have a home run hitter this year like last year. Looks like they’re gonna need turnovers to run the score up. At least that’s how it looks so far they beat Marshall 20-7 last nightÂ
September 6Sep 6 Somehow, they're always in the mix. I mean they beat LP by 25 last week. Marshall took down JT in Week 1. The competition hasn't been too bad.

September 11Sep 11 Our school's QB, Camden Hughes, named by DCTF as player of the week with a 24/34 for 471 yards and 6 TDs along with 7 carries for 63 yards and another TD on the ground against Klein Cain. The Woodlands College Park hasn't had much success in the footballs, but they look a lot better so far this season. Got the mighty Conroe Tigers coming in to Woodforest Stadium tonight. Should be a good one.
September 12Sep 12 My man had another great game, don't have the stats yet but College Park whooped Conroe 35-0. Hughes would have had a couple of more TDs if dudes didn't drop balls right in their hands or fall down in the end zone with no one within 20 yards of them. CP's defense was unreal, they have a sophomore NG that terrorized Conroe's o-line all night long. One of the CP WRs is the son of Antonio Cromartie. Conroe has a really good DB that locked him down, but other guys were running wild in the secondary wide ass open all night long. Too many drops and penalties but otherwise an absolute ass whipping. Never thought I would see the day where CP would bitch slap Conroe like that.
September 12Sep 12 Great read on Ft Hancock. Used to be a 6-man juggernaut. Now haven't won a game since October 2021. https://www.texasmonthly.com/arts-entertainment/texas-high-school-football-losing-streak/

CP head coach Kyle Coats is a former UT grad assistant. He's gonna be a good one, hopefully yall can keep him. And obligatory "half your roster could be sons of Antonio Cromartie " joke goes here
September 12Sep 12 El Campo vs FB Dulles 58-0 last night. Bay City vs Columbia BC and EC both may be undefeated by late Oct. Showdown may be for all the marbles. Tidehaven vs Hallettsville  Â

Duncanville can't even find a 6A team to play them in non-district most years, but SOC does it every year as a 5AD2. SOC HC Jason Todd is a Samples protege.

September 13Sep 13 Longview with the Steve Sarkisian-like playcalling on its last few drives when they could have taken the lead. Turnover on downs with 50 or so secs left on the SOC 35. Lobos lose 20-17.Â

Same kid dropped a first down pass the drive before.  WR’s and secondary seem to be the week points this yearÂ
September 13Sep 13 RR McNeil over Westwood 70-45. McNeil went for 2 at the end to get to 70 (scoring record). Westwood HC was hot, wanted to throw hands with McNeil HC. 😂 🔪

September 19Sep 19 Euless Trinity at Southlake Carroll tonight. Carroll probably the heavy favorite now, but man these games used to be fun.Â

September 20Sep 20 Westlake up 10-7 on cibolo steele Hatton the RB going to aggy with a 75 yard td run for Steele
September 20Sep 20 Bay City down 28-7 to Sealy at Halftime. El Campo down 28-7 to Needville. Tidehaven dug out of a 1st quarter hole to lead 17-12 over Ganado in the 2nd.
September 20Sep 20 Lampasas up 24-7 on the road against Wimberley. Wimberley having issues with all the formations they are seeing. Coach Rogers pulling out some of the old formations his high school coach, Rod Hess, was using 30 years ago when he was the QB of the Badgers offense.
September 20Sep 20 BC lost big time to Sealy. EC went to OT with Needville. Tidehaven won with ease.
September 20Sep 20 Lampasas 31 Wimberley 24. Pretty good 2nd half from the Texans to make this one close. Lampasas has a pretty good shot to go into Stephenville undefeated if they can beat Waco U next week. The Badgers have some really good line play up front on both sides of the ball which has been good to see.
