Welp, we know who the Cleveland State of Texas High SChool Football is now.  Rio Vista ruled ineligible for the playoffs for allegedly offering "inducements to 7-on-7 players to move there for the purpose of playing football.

Big Axtell media conspiracy

Link

Rio Vista-Axtell game cancelled last night after an as of yet unspecified "security threat" Tinfoilers in the facebook comments make it sound like the Axtell coaches never had any intention of playing Rio Vista and originally tried to get the game cancelled "so none of their kids got hurt playing against Rio Vista's transfers" and tried to dictate who could or couldn't play. Then a gun threat supposedly happens and the game gets cancelled

Missed this one Thursday, but C.E. King beat #3 Summer Creek 42-28.  District 23-6A shaping up to be an interesting finish.  North Shore finishes the season with a tune up against Channelview then runs the gauntlet with Atascocita, C.E. King then Summer Creek.  Any of King, North Shore or Summer Creek could win the district.

So is Arlington heights (fort worth) actually solid to good or are they just beating absolute  cripples? Looks like they’ve scored 240 and not given up a point so far this yr.

Heights Lost to Saginaw Thursday 47-50. O.D. Wyatt is currently on top of that district but plays Heights next week. Wyatt beat Sagnasty 21-20 a few weeks ago.

Bye week next for the streak. Then 133rd win is on the line vs Richland.

What's the deal with the tiny press box? 😀

Alvarado just beat Carrollton Ranchview 86-13. It was 72-0 at half time.

I'm a product of Carrollton/Farmers Branch ISD.  We have a long history of being doormats for surrounding schools.  We had a year where crosstown rivals winless Newman Smith played winless R. L. Turner, which should have produced a win for somebody.  They tied.

We peaked when we produced Vanilla Ice.

?? Did they actually win?

You already said they lost. Just say the higher score first. Most people can figure it out.

Ex  : OU got their ass beat by Texas 23-6.

It sounds like the local news on Saturday morning and the traffic girl has to do the sports if you say the lower score first.

Fair. I list it so that home team is listed second. Not that it really matters. Just how I list it.

Does anyone here subscribe to DCTF?  What are the benefits?  Can you just follow certain teams or arrange the layout so that those teams are at the top?  Less ads?

Yes.

Full access to current articles and the archives( old issues.) Both on the website and on the ap on your phone, yes, you can identify favorite teams that are at the top of the list; otherwise it lists them by classification largest to small.  On Friday nights, I'm in there about every 15 minutes checking scores.  I have 4 teams in my favorites- not sure on the max there.

Another minor benefit is that you get your DCTF before it hits the stores in the summer.  It helps prevent the driving around and looking for who may have it.

For those of you that don’t know. I was unaware until last Friday. Dave Campbell’s has a Friday night wrap up show on YouTube. I watched it last week and enjoyed it.

Yeah, I started going through their channel last month. They put out some good stuff (and some rubbish) but it’s pretty easy to find something informative.

Battle of The Woods about to get started. TWHS has a 17-2 series domination but a lot of past misery can be wiped away with a win tonight for TWCP. Gonna be tough.

Go Cavs!!!!

Congrats.  That's a big win.

I know ORHS has never beaten TWHS in football, and could not recall if CP had or not.  If so, it was a while back.

This Cavalier team is different.  Congrats!!!

Our ISD has a broadcast of all the games played at Wood Forest Bank Stadium.  Production quality is what you expect from something run by a HS ISD so if you watch the replay, you may want to mute it.

I like those three story blow ups. When I was playing it was fancy if your team wasn’t running through paper banners help up by cheerleaders.

I don't remember anything other than paper banners.  We'd run through with onions tied to our belts, since that was the style at the time.

Texas Tech’s best player on offense right now is their running back Cameron Dickey, who played QB at Austin Crockett. Apparently set like all their offensive records and was their first P4 recruit in years.

I know, my kid was senior when he was a freshman. Still weird he’s had that much success but kinda cool local kid for us.

Its kinda crazy how many 70-0 type scores are on the scoreboard every week. Makes it clear the divide between the haves and have nots

Barring something stupid like Conroe beating The Woodlands, it looks like District 13-6A is pretty well sorted out.

1.  TW College Park (Div-II)

2.  Willis (Div-II)

3.  The Woodlands High School (Div-I)

4.  Grand Oaks (Div-I)

Any other districts out there that y'all follow have a clear picture yet?  With no set state-wide tiebreaker system I guess it's impossible to figure out final district standings until the last game is played.

All of you who have been laughing at my Anderson Trojans over these many decades--

Well well well, how the turntables...

Yeah those 2 kids they bought from LBJ (including the RB and S heading to Texas) helped. 😉

A lot of DFW has moved Friday night games to Thursday due to timing of storms rolling through Friday night.

Aledo now plays Richland Thursday night @BISD Stadium

In the 4A ranks.
1: Art Briles Rape Apologists

2: Brownwood

3: Lampasas

4: Burnet

And Ernie Powers across town at El Paso Franklin is very unimpressed. Currently has the 2nd most rushing yards in the country. El Paso is just the RGV with a couple of P4 athletes sprinkled in every year. There’s always comical stat totals for some guys.

Westlake/LT moved up to 7 tomorrow. They’re retiring Brees’ number before the game as well.
