I'm just gonna grab as many suits as I can, get in this random hot dog car -RANDOM- and drive back to weiner hall.

I'm always about to quote it and then Jamie Taco steals my quote before I can say it.  I'm never going to be able to quote ITYSL faster than Jamie Taco.

Teenage twins, and they don't even watch movies unless I force them to.

Makes me so sad

Countless teenage years of mom throwing me $10 and telling me to get the fuck out of the house and go to the movies.  How you get there is not her problem.

ITYSL is hilarious, and extremely quotable. i find myself quoting it multiple times a day.

I can’t stand that guy’s face, voice, mannerisms, and comedy.  Most punchable guy ever.

This comes from a Gillis fan.  Love that guy.

he's an acquired taste for sure. the first time i watched i think you should leave i thought it was the dumbest shit ever. it still is, but it's somehow simultaneously genius.

Funny movies for sure.  Can’t quote it though.  And stuff.

This. I have 2 teens. It’s memes and tik toks.

We have failed. And by we I mean you and other people who have kids. My childless self is not to blame.

Date Night, Blockers, Bottoms were the first three I thought of. The Bad Moms movies were good too. I think after a certain age you stop watching movies a dozen times and quoting them.

All his friends are from New York. And he’s only met them a couple of times.

If someone gave me popcorn I would’ve sat and watched Kramer vs Kramer on a loop in a theater.

Someone with teenage kids needs to investigate what comedy movies from the last 10 years that their peers are quoting.  Because our data is extremely out of date.

Because we are old.  And we have no idea what the youths like or watch.

This plays a big role as well. We all eventually get dated and settle into quoting the movies we grew up with or saw as young adults. It happens. Every generation will go through it and every single one will think there are no more good movies of their favorite genre because the style and delivery has changed. I’ll watch just about anything, but when I am incredulous about something I still fall back on are “You Serious Clark?” instead of something more modern.

Meh, I still quote movies that came out from before I was born or when I was too young to be watching them when they came out. There just aren't movies like that anymore.

Most of the meme and gif responses in this site are movie quotes.  None of them are from recent movies.

so why is that?

Me and my friends quote Sunny every day.

"James Earl Jones is doing a great blackface."

this one character from this one sketch alone is more quotable than most recent comedy movies.

that show throws a lot of shit against the wall.  some of it sticks.

Last night I walked in and the kids were re-watching Eurovision.  I actually really liked that one, came out in 2020 I think.

There are a few quotable lines-- when he's being a pain in the ass I always tell my son to "Hey, be a cool guy.  Just be cool."  Of course it receives the teenager eyeroll but inside I know he's laughing.

Has a hit rate of about 1 sketch per three episodes and that one sketch goes on too long. He’s just not funny

I think this is the answer. This and the 2nd one.

Last decade? I would settle for most watchable.

Based upon what I have been told on this site it would be anything with Shane Gillis or Bowen Yang in it.

I always think about chuck barris.  but yeah doesn’t quite slide in under the 10-year cutoff.

I think quoting movies incessantly was part of a certain generation. Remember the joke/meme “quoting movies is not a personality type?” There was a decade or so where quoting movies was a big thing, and movies were made for a while targeted to that demographic. It just so happens to be the same generation that still posts on sports message boards. That’s my theory on the matter. As some have said they still make some tv shows for us to quote but the movie industry has moved on to something else. Not a movie but I saw this and made me think of this thread.
