August 13Aug 13 This feels like piling on to the floods. School bus rollover near Sandy Creek. Two critical injuries, two serious but non-life-threatening, at least 12 others. Ugh. https://www.kxan.com/news/local/travis-county/leander-isd-school-bus-carrying-children-rolls-over-near-sandy-creek/ Edited August 13Aug 13 by jimmyjazz
August 13Aug 13 It’s nuts. There have been three rollovers in the Houston area this week, including two in the Cleveland school district. All 58 kids on that bus were taken to the hospital.
August 13Aug 13 1st day of school, too. So, that's a fun start to the school year. I mean, I guess we should be relieved that they weren't shot. Silver linings and all that.

August 14Aug 14 School bus driver shortage has been a big issue. Based on the pics no sure how you roll that thing unless maybe your speed is a little high and you understeer. Thankfully sounds like the kids are mostly ok.

Can’t get in touch with guardian, kid goes to hospital to be evaluated. In the state of Texas a minor can’t tell you they’re not hurt/injured; only a responsible adult can make that determination for them. But it has to be a related responsible adult. Not related, you can’t say so, even if it’s a scratch on the finger. Yay for lawyers

August 14Aug 14 Nice that the injuries seem pretty minimal but that's a lot of trauma that just got apportioned.
