February 28, 20205 yr Anybody on here know anything about Navajo refrigerated? I think it involves digging a hole in the desert.
February 29, 20205 yr Author I know they have a creepy logo. are you thinking about driving for them? If so why would you want to pull reefer?

February 29, 20205 yr Author Fuck everything! And just so y’all know, I’m not that asshole. 10 minutes with a broom can save a lot of heartache.
March 4, 20205 yr Show dog! I'm not sure I've ever seen Nig uh, umm, lug nut caps quite like those. Do you run lights inside the breather? Seen a few with those and like it. It's subtle, but really adds to the look.

March 4, 20205 yr If you do that, I'm sure you can hang with Big Tony's crew if you're ever in Houston

March 6, 20205 yr Author Ran air and electric through the back of the tractor today. Will get the trailer done in the next couple of weeks. Will make for a clean safe catwalk.
March 6, 20205 yr Took this shot just off 81 around Bristol for Drifter a couple of months ago. IIRC the first 5 were all his purple. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Edited March 6, 20205 yr by ShaggyBevo RIP

Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkMust have been Fitzgerald’s. I’m bummed to hear that there were so many the same color as mine. Iv actually only seen 3 others on the road since I got mine last year.
March 7, 20205 yr Author I researched the gliders before I bought mine and there were just too many horror stories about warranty work battles between Fitzgerald and Peterbilt. Also rumors at the time of the feds cracking down on glider rules.
March 7, 20205 yr I’ve got some buddies running the gliders. I know I’d heard at one point they were going to quit inspecting them or certifying them or something like that.
March 8, 20205 yr They way I understood it was the emissions had to meet the standard of the engine year model instead of the glider frame. They are or were going to flip that.
March 8, 20205 yr Author They way I understood it was the emissions had to meet the standard of the engine year model instead of the glider frame. They are or were going to flip that. That was what I was hearing too. Emissions would have to meet the truck not the engine. Most of the glider guys were doing it not only for emissions but to avoid the ELD mandate.

March 10, 20205 yr Ran air and electric through the back of the tractor today. Will get the trailer done in the next couple of weeks. Will make for a clean safe catwalk. So are gladhands a thing of the past now?
March 10, 20205 yr So are gladhands a thing of the past now? Probably not for guys that swap trailers.
March 10, 20205 yr Yeah, that's a permanent trailer setup. Never pulled one like that and I'm sure they aren't a problem or people wouldn't do it, but that sure looks easy to tangle if you turn too tight.
March 10, 20205 yr Damn I didn’t know they still made those things. I’ve got a buddy that just went back to one. I’ve mentioned it here. I forgot to get a picture the last time I saw it.
March 12, 20205 yr Author I’ll have the lines short enough to turn but won’t be getting tangled up. I hat a T connection done so that I can still use airlines in the traditional way if I need to grab a different trailer for some reason. Also I think I still have to use glad and on the other end under the trailer. Some bullshit DOT rule. But the quick connects make it easier for when I drop the trailer. I can leave the air lines with the trailer instead of having to tie them up on the tractor somehow.
March 14, 20205 yr Author Is that a DrivePro220?Close. It’s a 230. I was streaming to my phone 5 minutes after plugging in. Company sells them to us for $25 if it’s our first cam. $148 online.
March 14, 20205 yr I figured you already had a cam. Those things are lifesavers when 4 wheelers play 4 wheeler games and try to blame you.
March 15, 20205 yr Author I figured you already had a cam. Those things are lifesavers when 4 wheelers play 4 wheeler games and try to blame you. I had one before but I couldn’t figure out how to download video to share. This one makes it almost too easy.

I was suggesting that I was such an expert on these things that I could tell what exact make and model just by looking at the screen. To make it more believable, I suggested an "almost correct" make and model, the 220 instead of the 230. So yes, it was a joke. At our office years back, I walked into the break room as a guy was installing a new ice machine. i said, "Oh, is that the Excelsior 4000?". He said no, it was blah blah. Then started talking my ear off about the benefits and nuances of the new machine. I regretted making my comment.
March 15, 20205 yr When in another person's office, I also liked to point out, "Your phone's ringing" whenever the phone rang. That's just good stuff.

March 20, 20205 yr Author I can't believe you were listening to "Roll On 18 Wheeler" when that happened. Just perfect!I have a Spotify playlist of road songs.
March 20, 20205 yr Not sure if this one has been posted, came on today and made me think of this thread.
March 22, 20205 yr Author So to clear up a few myths. Truck stops are open. Restaurants are closed to seating but you can order to go. Same with the fast food joints in the truck stops. Showers are still open along with bathrooms. All of the scales I’ve passed from GA through upstate NY have been closed. Traffic has been much lighter in the cities I’ve passed through. Rest areas are open for parking only. I’m a little nervous about tomorrow. I’ve got a stop here in Syracuse and on in Albany. I hope they are open to receive. Trying to get a load back to Texas and will try to stay within a tank of fuel to the house in case it all shuts down. So far it’s been business as usual but I’m afraid that’s about to change as I think this is about to ramp up over the next week or so. Keeping myself entertained this weekend trying not to dwell on all the drama.
