They tried to charge me $300 for the dab they used working on my flywheel. I offered to replace the whole tube instead.

Fixed an exhaust leak and a few minor issues. First time I’ve been to “my shop” since the whole motor fiasco. My mechanic calls and says the trucks ready so I ask what I owe him. He says $0. He is putting it in as warranty work even though nothing I had him work on had anything to do with any work he’s done previously. 2. 1300 miles from home and I throw a code for the EGR valve and the truck derates on me. I made it to load out in Detroit then head to a shop. $3700 later I have a new EGR valve and I’m back on the road. any guesses on which one is good news or bad news. On a better note while I was in the shop I talked to a salesman and we speced, spec’d, specd (none of those look right) out a new 579. Looking at aroo aund $220,000. If I get $100,000 for ole sparkle cake I’ll be pulling the trigger after the first of the year. (Tax reasons) I go to a little material yard not far from my house. The owner bought a new transfer a couple of years ago. We were talking about it, as the KW salesman had just left. He was paying about $200,000 IIRC, and, that's a hell of a lot of money. He was feeling like a big shot. The salesman had come buy to get his signature on something. He asked the guy if he wanted to grab lunch. The guy says no, I've got to get over to Superior Ready Mix. Material guy says "oh, are they buying a truck from you"? He says "they're buying 100 of them". Material guy no longer felt like a big shot.
August 16Aug 16 Author Newark, NJ East Rutherford, NJ Got to walk around on the field. The he Jets and the Giants each have half the stadium for their “ring of honor”. The only name I recognized was Mark Gastoneau. No Joe Namath or Lawerence Taylor anywhere to be seen. What in the actual fuck. Coked out or not LT is the greatest football player to ever play the game. Fucking Quebec City Canada. The only thing worse than a Canadian is a French Canadian. I’d rather be in Mexico. It’s a fucking crescent roll. Get over it. Edited August 16Aug 16 by drifter379

I did go to school at Jax State in Alabama though. most trucks are registered in the state that the trucks authority is in. That made me curious. Do you get a room when you are parked for a few days, or are you indeed a sleeper dweller?
August 18Aug 18 Trailers cost less to register in Oklahoma than I think any other state and they carry a IRP registration that applies to all the other states and Canada. Lots of Midwest/Texas/surrounding states carriers register there for that reason. At least that’s what I’ve been told by asset carriers over the years that operate in Texas.

Once we load in we leave our trucks wherever they have us staged and then we go to a hotel. Places like Hyatt Regency or whatever fancy place that’s down town or near the venue.

September 12Sep 12 If my intel is correct, you're in Vegas this weekend. Play Silver Strike at 4 Queens and Plaza. Still give $10 collectable tokens with a few pure silver mixed in.

September 12Sep 12 Author So after shopping around I’ve found that the new Pete’s don’t have shit as far as storage. So I’m in the process of specking out a KW t680. I’m not really happy about it but it’s more practical. looking at this paint scheme. Not these colors. Any suggestions on 3 color combos that would look really good.

Maybe swap the blue for dark purple. FTR, I've always preferred KW over Pete. More leg room and no knee crushing steering column mount.

Line by line. Biggest things are all the babysitter electronics I had deleted. Like adaptive cruise. Lane departure. Collision avoidance system. All the shit that the truck would try to take control of. down to minor things like no hood mirrors. And taking the siphon protection screens out of the fuel tanks.

It’s an air cylinder that acts like a spring on the clutch pedal. It takes less foot pressure to engage the clutch. also has torque assist steering. Has a switch with 3 settings to help turn the wheel when stoped or at slower speeds.
