August 15Aug 15 My suggestion is to take a look at one of the half dozen cruise threads here. I suggest you start with this one.
August 15Aug 15 Disney Cruises are fuck off expensive. Take that money and do something actually fun. Oh, and if you want to drink....double your budget
August 15Aug 15 So as I read the title, your wife wants to take your kids on a Disney Cruise. I guess the real question is, what are you going to do with all that excellent time by yourself? Vegas?
August 15Aug 15 This reminds me of what could have been. When my kids were "Disney aged," and I was planning our vacation, I asked, do you want to go to Disney World or do you want to go skiing. They always said "Skiing!" They are now 20 and 16, have never been to Disney, and are good snow skiers. My poor brother in law has been to Disney well over a dozen times by my estimate. It's become a bit of a tradition for his family, poor guy. Edited August 15Aug 15 by dcbc
August 15Aug 15 The former Mrs. Czervik took the kids on a week long cruise back in the day. It was an awesome week for Al. Fuck. That. Shit.
August 15Aug 15 Enjoy the Disney themed diarrhea. Look on Getawaytoday.com and Undercover Tourist for discounts. I use the former for Disneyland deals. Edited August 15Aug 15 by mdmost

Glenn I have a friend who is an absolute Disney nut and specializes in these. She has serious personal and professional knowledge about every facet of anything to do with a Disney vacation. pirateandpixiedustdestinations.com Natalie Jansing is her name, if you look at the list of agents. She's a very solid, reliable individual.
August 18Aug 18 Go sign up for https://www.vacationstogo.com/login.cfm?t=y and see if you can find a discount. You can either do the last minute cruise option and find some really good deals, or you can search further out using the filters and still find a good deal or two. I would tell the wife NO to Disney, though. I've heard it's a never ending cycle of waiting to take pictures with the characters on the ship. We enjoyed the hell out of Royal Caribbean with our two kids. Also, if you don't plan on spending a ton of time in the room, and / or you enjoy a dark room, consider an interior stateroom. Smaller, but if it's just a crash-out site, don't waste too much money on the exterior room with a window.
August 18Aug 18 We went coming out of Covid so we got a steep discount for a Disney Cruise. Ship was clean and the kids had a great time. Food was decent.
