Har Mar Superstar sings Sam Cooke coming to Kessler in June.

Had to miss Beck last weekend. Don't have much upcoming but I did see Caroline Rose was playing a free show at the Rustic in June. If you haven't checked out her new album, it's pretty good.

Wanting/planning to see houndmouth at granada on 4-21(?).

I was thinking about going to that as well.

Rostam (former Vampire Weekend member) plays at Three Links next week.

I’ll go to this maybe.

My upcoming shows so far:

Foo Fighters
Fortress Fest (Saturday)
Jack White
Willie/Sturgill
Alice in Chains

Saw Khruangbin last night in Houston - amazing show.

4/24 Parquet Courts Houston

4/28 - David Byrne w/ Perfume Genius in HOU ( if i can get some cheaper tix closer to the show)

5/14 Courtney Barnett at Saengerrunde Hall

6/4 Paul Simon Erwin Center

6/6 Justin Townes earle and Lydia Loveless (both solo) at Heights Theater

Leon Bridges is coming to Toyota Music Factory. I am look at tickets, but never been to a show there. Any sections to avoid? Best seats?

Get Pit if they offer them. You're tall so it shouldn't be a big deal to see the stage. If they don't do pit, anything before the sound board is good. The place is not very big.

What is Three Links? I like quite a bit of that Rostam album.

Not everyone's cup of tea here but Big Krit is playing at Bomb Factory friday. I will be in attendance

anybody got a promo code for the old 97s fair tomorrow?

subscribed.

Caught the Old 97s last night at the Barley House's 25th Anniversary celebration. Would like to sneak down tomorrow to see Lord Huron and the 97s but not sure logistics. One kid wants to go, the other isn't interested.

It was pretty great. Got cool when the sun went down, but that's a great spot for a show in a city that doesn't have many public places that make you feel like you're somewhere special.

Holy shit houndmouth show was awesome, even the dallas crowd was (almost) all in singing along/dancing. Damn fun night

I saw that Toots and the Maytals are coming to Strauss Square next week, but (a) it's a weekday and (b) the forecast calls for storms.

Any of you guys ever seen a show over there?  Is there any cover at all?  It looks pretty open to the rain from the pics I've seen.  May have to make a game-time decision.

Violent Femmes/Echo & the Bunnymen @ Irving Music Center go on sale in 37 minutes.

Some of these concert tickets are insane.

$120 to be packed in like sardines in GA at Bomb Factory for Jack white

Same price for Artic Monkeys at Southside Ballroom

Anybody who has an extra for Dr Dog at face value, please hit me up. Friend tried to buy a ticket this morning and the show sold out.

Also bought Shakey Graves tickets for 6/30 at Bomb Factory. Gillian Welch is coming this summer too.

Dr. Dog was pretty damn awesome on Fri night. Great time. First time for me to see them.

We went out to Richardson's Wildflower Festival on Friday night on a whim. Our friend's husband was running the stage where Spoon played. Spoon killed it -- as always. Such a great band that always puts on a great show. Weird festival, though, as it's in the office park by the Renaissance Hotel (Galatyn Park).

The sound was incredible. Fantastic show. All the olds were watching Kool and the Gang.

I have pretty good seats but will probably spend a good amount of time people watching on the lawn for the opening acts. You're right, it will be hot. I've been hydrating all week.

I know it's going to be hot, but I'm going anyhow - tix were $20 on Groupon.  Can't beat that.

Those same tickets cost $100 at the Anthem in DC.  I am so seeing it in Dallas.  I'll turn it into a family visit and then duck out for a day.

Would totally see that show.  They played outdoors at the National Mall about a decade ago... and I missed it.

Don't sleep on A Place to Bury Strangers at Dada on June 2.  Kind of Jesus and Mary Chainish with the Swans fusion.  Speaking of which, JMC and NIN are playing at the Anthem in DC for the magical price of $100--before fees.  F'k that.  If they play Dallas, hope it's way cheaper.

They are playing Dallas (well, Irving) at the new Toyota Music Factory spot. Tickets went on sale last week and you had to do it old-school style by waiting in line and buying them. Looked like a beating. And it was hella expensive.

Wife brought it to my attention that Belle & Sebastian is playing at the Bomb Factory in mid-June. Never seen them before but have casually listened to them for years. Worth checking them out?
