Except, Texas couldn’t beat A&M this season and lost 80% of the rest of the games they played against the SEC.

If Texas can beat Tech, A&M can.  I would guess A&M actually has a better ERA, Batting Average, and Scoring compared to Texas.  All of this against a tougher schedule resulting in a better rec

It's nice having someone like Zubia this year.

Last year late in the season teams would just work around Kacy Clemens because we didn't have anyone that could make them pay. Teams don't have that luxury this year. Walk Kody Clemens and Zubia might take you deep.

West Virginia is 26th in RPI at 16-16 and 2-6 in the Big 12. Really odd resume but #4 strength of schedule.

Texas Tech has outscored K-State 47-10 in the first 2 games in Lubbock. The wind took a few that would've been a flyout to a grand slam.

God I wish we (Pokes) hadn’t been so bit by the pitching injury bug. Were able to claw back into it on the bats but unable to shut down the methaneers. Oh well looks like you horns are in the drivers seat, after us that’s who I’d like to see take home some hardware.

The cancelled TCU/Kansas game can overall be a plus or minus.   I am sure TCU would have preferred to play.    Will be interesting to see if TCU can replicate Texas in 2015 and win the B12 Tournament.   I would not count them out,  excellent coaches.

Texas has the advantage of having played one more conference series and only 1 game behind the leader in the loss column.    Looks good.

Standings

School Big 12   Overall Pct.
Oklahoma 9 - 3   26 - 13 .667
Oklahoma State 9 - 3   20 - 13 - 1 .603
Texas 11 - 4   24 - 14 .632
Texas Tech 8 - 4   29 - 8 .784
TCU 6 - 5   18 - 13 .581
Kansas 3 - 8   19 - 16 .543
Baylor 3 - 9   17 - 17 .500
West Virginia 2 - 7   16 - 17 .485
Kansas State 2 - 10   15 - 21 .417

It's worth noting that none of the top three teams (or TCU) has played TTU to this point.

Yep.  All things considered I can't believe we're sitting in 1st place at this point.  Holiday has done a hell of a job this year.  I don't expect it to stick or anything, but hopefully we can get enough quality wins in the league to make the tournament.

TCU and Abilene Christian are in extra innings. This is not a game TCU can lose. ACU's RPI is 244.

ACU is up 4-2 in the top of the 11th.

This is how they've scored in the top of the 11th. HPB, walk, fielding error, HBP, walk.

ACU beats TCU 4-2. That might be a season ending loss unless TCU wins the Big 12 tournament.

TCU is 56th in RPI and they are about to see a significant drop after that loss.

Also, Baker suffered some type of injury.

Baker broke his leg. Sucks for Baker but that series becomes much easier for Texas now.

They can lose it. They did lose. And I can laugh

We lost to fucking ORU (again) last night.  I swear, for as much voodoo magic that Holiday has over OUsucks, he has reverse voodoo against ORU.  I think his record against them is something like 2-7.

oh, how nice that kstate actually beat another team that doesn't wear burnt orange.

After seeing those ridiculous TT vs KSU scores, i had to look into it.

Against the 38th SOS (Boyds), in 38 games, TT has scored 10+ runs 15 times. TT has scored 20+ runs 5 times.

Jesus. Their bats are batty. Are they doing this against good pitching or just run of the mill?

You should figure out how many of those 10+ run games happened at their home ballpark.

That ballpark plays like a home run derby ballpark most games.

Not discounting Tech's offensive numbers because it's impressive, but Texas would put up significantly better offensive numbers in their ballpark vs the Disch.

“How the fuck do, do you get picked off at first base lose on a walk off balk? God damnit!!”

-Augie somewhere tonight.

Pokes win game 1 against Kansas 12-1 on the run rule. Steal game 2 with a 4-3 win despite loading the fucking bases with no outs T8 while chilling with a 4-1 lead...

We have a lot of injuries at P but damn rob Walton been horsing around a lot lately.

Oh well, no walkoff balks here
