October 18, 20205 yr Anyone been to Elliot’s Table in Cottage Grove. A+ from Allison Cook and she’s the Houston authority. https://preview.houstonchronicle.com/dining/burger-friday-a-bonkers-good-blue-cheese-burger-15653250Okay Allison, we get it. Sydney, last time I had Langford Grocery was probably seven years ago and the burger was still amazing. I hope you’re wrong.
October 18, 20205 yr Was in a pinch for time yesterday and it had probably been 7-10 years since I last ate at a 5 guys. Fuck that place man. How in the world do they get away with charging 19.57 for a cheeseburger fries and drink? The burger wasn’t even that great and who needs 10 lbs of fries?

October 18, 20205 yr 5 Guys sucks. I went to Lankford a little over a year ago. It was completely underwhelming.

October 19, 20205 yr Sam’s on North Gessner has always been a favorite. Not convenient to me anymore so haven’t been in a few years.

Looks like he's talking about a place called Lunch at Sam's on Alfred and Gessner. I'd never heard of it either but it looks legit. Edited October 19, 20205 yr by DoobieWah
October 19, 20205 yr Looks like he's talking about a place called Lunch at Sam's on Alfred and Gessner. I'd never heard of it either but it looks legit. Ah ok. I have passed it dozens of times but never stopped. I thought it had mediocre reviews when I looked it up but does look solid.

Somebody mentioned before about a step up from Whataburger, this is Sams for me. These are not your upscale, designer burgers with emu, buffalo, eel patties, just good ole beef, with jalapeños and bacon, or chili. Good crisp crinkle cut fries.
October 19, 20205 yr I said this in the other burger thread, but Charlie's BBQ on Bissonnet is pretty solid. Just outside the Loop.
